I am a huge Lukola shipper and wanted to start this blog as I am fed up of the negativity in other blogs.

I will only focus on Bridgerton in general and Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan specifically here. I will not entertain talk of people adjacent to them or “linked” to them romantically by places like DeuxM.., online trashy media outlets or anyone else unless Nicola or Luke themselves confirm it.

I just want lots of love for Nic and Luke because they have really excelled in bringing Colin and Penelope Bridgerton to life in s3. They are both phenomenal actors and absolutely lovely people who don’t deserve anything but praise and adoration.

From everything we saw during the s3 press tour, it very much looks like Luke and Nic are living out their own friends to lovers trope and I want to celebrate this, to celebrate love and the beautiful relationship that Nic and Luke have.

Please respect me and my thoughts. What I write will be what I think based on what I’ve observed and might not actually reflect reality, however I am entitled to my opinion and no-one is entitled to bash me for that.

There is no way anyone can truly believe that Luke and Nic are not together after their display last night. There isn’t just love between them, there is a profound adoration, synchronicity, mutual respect and support and a deep understanding and infatuation of and with each other.

Their connection is more powerful than it was during the WT, they have developed habits and mannerisms that are now so ingrained in their psyches that they don’t even notice them. Even when toning down their interactions, they failed to hide all these automatic reactions to each other.

The other ships are just jealous because they will never have that.

Oh my heart is so full this morning. I could never have dreamed that we would get such beautiful, dreamy, heartstopping moments from Nic and Luke together. The very most I had hoped for were for them both to be there and to maybe get a photo of them together.

What we got was so much more. The vivid, stark and obvious contrast between the Luke we have seen in recent weeks and the Luke we saw with Nic was simply gorgeous to see. Nic was back with the heart eyes that we have not once seen since June 12th last year. The chemistry was even more intense than before, Luke couldn’t help but flatter Nic and once again his jaw hit the floor when he saw her.

These two now have a much bigger shared life than I think anyone imagined this time last year (maybe except them).

Let’s hope it’s not another 8 months before we see them together again.

Luke and Nic on BAFTAs night 2024, Feb 20th.

As for the SAG awards it seems impossible that they would travel all that way with such a young baby but of course its a very different world than the one we live in so maybe they will be there.It would be lovely to see them as long as there are no adjacents around! Do you have any thoughts on whether they will go? Thank you.x

I’m not sure if speculation would have been shut down if it wasn’t true to be honest, after all speculation about N & J and L & A has never been shut down. We know why, and also, as Nic said herself, people will believe what they want to anyway. However, it’s the lack of two best friends being seen together, no acknowledging each other’s birthdays, the crumbs they keep dropping and the ring that firmly suggest that N and L are, in fact, the ones in the relationship.

Will we see any of our faves at LFW do you think? Given the SAG awards are on the 23rd it’s probably unlikely, but maybe that would give Nic the perfect excuse to not travel to LA?

It’s really hard to predict what Bridgerton’s chances of winning the ensemble cast SAG are, but if it’s not likely then other cast members like Simone (still classed as regular cast as the award is for s3), Florence and Hannah could well be seen on an LFW red carpet.

What do others think?

UPDATE, Feb 22nd: Given that Genevieve Chenneour (Clara Livingston) is already in LA to attend the SAG awards, I think it’s highly likely that most of the ensemble cast will be there. That leaves no time now for any cast to attend LFW unless they’ve already been because with the flight time LA from the UK, anyone not already in LA or en route will be leaving within the next 12 hours or so.
