Note: This was the perfect Valentine’s Day ask! It’s uhh now the day after Valentine’s Day, but I did write most of this ON Valentine’s Day, so we’re going to say it still counts 💜

Anon, thank you for setting me up so perfectly to gush about Gale’s romance endings! Here is everything I love about them:

I love the whole entire proposal scene

I love that Gale is so down bad for Tav that he can’t even wait until their Hundur sauce dinner date before he proposes

I love Gale being so excited he wakes up first and just lies there thinking about marrying Tav

I love this part:

I love how, back when they were in the Stormshore Tabernacle to meet Mystra, Gale says he’s always wondered ‘what it’s like to be nervous’, and then when he proposes to Tav the dev notes say this:

(I also love how even the dev got nervous and misspelled ‘proposing’ as ‘promosing’)

I love the fact that Gale’s proposal isn’t polished & practiced & smooth, but instead, heartfelt and genuine and imperfect and sweet

I love the way Gale melts with relief when Tav says yes

I love how the romance goes full circle from this:

To this:

I love that they didn’t end the scene with Gale down on one knee, but instead ended it with Gale and Tav standing equal to one another

I love that Gale’s proposal remains 99% the same if Tav is an Illithid

I love that when Illithid Tav questions whether Gale really wants to marry them in their present condition, Gale replies: “Your ‘present condition’ is that you’re the one I love,” and he absolutely 100% means it

I love Gale’s entire epilogue dialogue

I love that Gale will happily stay in Baldur’s Gate to help rebuild, or go adventuring to other places, or start a book club in the Underdark, or go to Avernus, and no matter where he goes he’s happy because he’s with his beloved:

I love how if Gale and Tav go back to Waterdeep, Gale gets to be a Professor of Illusion and he adores it

I love how even as an esteemed Blackstaff Professor he still gets involved in (or directly causes) various wizarding shenanigans

I love how Gale is still a little bit insecure:

I love Gale’s kiss and nose boop SO MUCH

To summarize: I absolutely freaking love the proposal and romance endings and everything about them

I haven't seen Cardcaptor Sakura since I was a little kid but from what I remember she's the protag's BFF and very sweet!! (And a middle schooler also) So I could hardly be more safe lol

If those don't count its a Astarion background for my phone and my safety is questionable. Alot happens in the game and I failed the dice rolls and my first Tav got drained 🤣

I think I’ll be safe, probably got pickpocketed, Fearne might have burned down the whole room by accident, but fine :D

I was collecting material for a Tav mood board that @optimisticgrey tagged me in so this is my first Tav with Halsin at the epilogue party after Tav cried their eyes out over Gale leaving them behind and becoming a god.

I would definitely be and feel safe, with Halsin anytime, and I would punch the so called “god of ambition” for Tav really hard (Withers can’t throw me out if I don’t even belong in this world), which means that he wouldn’t be safe :)

I'm very predictable and I couldn't have asked for a better option, so I feel very safe and happy 😂

I have a perfectly good excuse for this 😆, since I was storing some Astarion's images for my bbf @starvingforabutterfly (count you as tagged xD). 💕

But I'd feel safe with Astarion anyway. He is my bro. 😆✨️
