In accordance with the regulations issued by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, this page provides information which you may find useful in relation to your gaming activity and your account with us.

We want all of our customers to enjoy real-money gambling as a planned and budgeted entertainment option - like an evening out for dinner, the theater, or a sporting event. But, as with many other things in life, it is possible to get too much of a good thing. Moderation is the key for all who gamble.

  • The decision to gamble is a personal choice. No one should feel pressure to gamble - from others or themselves.
  • Gambling should not be perceived as essential to having a good time.
  • Limits should be set before starting to gamble. Money spent on gambling should be considered the cost of entertainment. People should gamble only with money they can afford to lose. A person who chooses to gamble should set time and monetary limits and adhere to them.
  • There are times when people should not gamble. Certain emotional states can heighten the risks associated with gambling. Avoid gambling when feeling lonely, angry, depressed, stressed, or when coping with the death of a loved one. Similarly, gambling should not be used as a way to solve personal or family problems, or to impress others. Never gamble when it interferes with work or family responsibilities, when in recovery for addictive disorders or dependencies, when the gambling is illegal, or when trying to make up for prior gambling losses.
  • Excessive use of alcohol when gambling can be risky. Irresponsibly using alcohol can affect a person's judgment and interfere with the ability to adhere to predetermined limits.

Preventing Underage Gambling

It is illegal for anyone under 21 to gamble for real-money on WSOP.com ("WSOP.com Platform").

We perform an electronic verification using a third-party data reference company to validate the age and identity of all customers. We reserve the right to ask for age verification information from the player and suspend the player's account until he provides information that verifies appropriate age to our satisfaction.

Unfortunately, no system is foolproof. If you know a person under 21 who is registered with the WSOP.com Platform, please notify our customer support team. If a person with an account is found to be under the age of 21, such person’s account will be terminated and the Company may withhold any funds that are present therein.

It is a criminal offense for persons under the age of 21 to gamble. Anyone who facilitates a person under the age of 21 to gamble has committed a criminal offense and shall be prohibited from Internet gaming.

Looking Out for Kids

Responsible gaming means making sure parents understand the importance of supervising their children's online activities. The internet is readily accessible in many homes around the world. As a result, gaming companies and parents must work together to protect children from underage gambling. To ensure the safety of your children, we recommend installing filtering software to block minors from accessing certain websites and programs.

Tips for parents:

  • Do not leave children unattended near your computer when you are logged into your WSOP.com Platform real-money account.
  • Do not allow persons under 21 to participate in any gambling activity.
  • Keep your WSOP.com Platform real-money username, password, and deposit method details out of the reach of children.
  • Educate your children about the illegality and potential dangers of underage gambling.

Setting Limits

Most gamblers are casual gamblers - they do it for fun and entertainment. Experts agree that casual gambling with affordable wagers can be a harmless, enjoyable pastime. Responsible gamblers understand that gambling entails risk. That is why gambling responsibly means setting predetermined, acceptable limits. People who set responsible limits are gambling with funds they can afford to lose. Those limits differ from person to person, according to their financial situations. Setting those limits - and sticking to them - is crucial. A player can establish his/her own limits by developing a set of personal guidelines to determine whether, when, and how much to gamble.

On the WSOP.com real-money poker platform, a player can set the following limits on the player's account (or a combination thereof):

  • Playing Time Limit
  • Tournament Limit
  • Deposit Limit
  • Loss Limit
  • Buy-in Limit
  • Time-Based Exclusions (Cooling Off Periods and Self Exclusion)

In order to set your Playing Time Limit, Deposit Limit, Loss Limit or Time-Based Exclusions, a player will first need to access the Responsible Gaming Tools. A player can access the Responsible Gaming Tools: (i) from the desktop client, by clicking on the user avatar on upper left side and then clicking on Responsible Gaming Limits; (ii) from the mobile application, by clicking on the player’s avatar (or menu icon) which can be found on the top right hand side of the screen and then clicking on Responsible Gaming Limits

If a player needs help, Customer Support is available 24 hours a day to assist.

Playing Time Limit

A player can set a daily Playing Time Limit, in order to notify such player of the amount of time that the player has spent playing on the WSOP.com Platform in a calendar day.

As soon as a player reaches the Playing Time Limit set, such player will receive a pop-up notification.

A player can set and adjust the daily Playing Time Limit on the WSOP.com Platform through the Responsible Gaming Tools (under the Controls section), click Playing Time Limits and then insert or adjust (as applicable) the Playing Time Limit and then click "set".

When the Playing Time Limit is initially set by a player, the Playing Time Limit will apply to the calendar day in which it is set. Any decrease to a player’s Playing Time Limit will take effect immediately.

Requests to increase your current Playing Time Limit will take effect as long as 24 hours have passed since your last Playing Time Limit increase request, following the player next logging into such player's account.

A player’s set Playing Time Limit shall automatically renew unless adjusted.

Deposit Limits

A player can set a Deposit Limit on the WSOP.com Platform, in order to limit the amount of money the player can deposit into such player's account on a rolling 24 hour period, rolling seven day period or a rolling monthly period (a rolling period means that a Deposit Limit will always be calculated by looking back at the past 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, as applicable, and not over a calendar day, calendar week or calendar month). The player will receive a pop-up notification which the player will have to confirm for the Deposit Limit to take effect.

As soon as a player reaches the Deposit Limit, such player will receive a pop-up notification advising, that the player can no longer make any further deposits into the player's account until a new rolling daily, weekly or monthly time period begins (as applicable).

A player can set and adjust the Deposit Limit on the WSOP.com Platform through the Responsible Gaming Tools (under the Controls section).

Any decrease to a player’s Deposit Limit will take effect immediately. Any increase to a Deposit Limit will take effect 30 days following the player making the change to the Deposit Limit and the player logging into his/her account following the expiration of the aforementioned 30-day period.

By way of example, if a player sets a $100 Deposit Limit on a weekly basis, and during such period a player wishes to increase the Deposit Limit to $200, the increase will only take effect the first time the player logs into the player's account following 30 days from when the player has increased the Deposit Limit.

Please Note: If a player has requested to increase his/her Deposit Limit during the applicable period, the player will not be able to increase the Deposit Limit requested again until after the first request has come into effect.

A player’s set Deposit Limit shall automatically renew unless adjusted.

Loss Limits

A player can set a Loss Limit, in order to restrict the amount of money which the player can lose on a:

(i) calendar day- beginning at 12.00 am on the day when the Loss Limit comes into effect and ending at 11:59 pm on such day;

(ii) calendar week- beginning on a Monday at 12:00 am of the week when the Loss Limit comes into effect and ending on the Sunday of such week at 11:59 pm; or

(iv) a combination of the two points above.

The Loss Limit is calculated as follows: A player’s winnings – A player’s losses during the applicable period.

As soon as a player reaches the Loss Limit, such player will receive a pop-up notification advising that the player cannot play for real money until a new daily or weekly period begins (as applicable). For example, if a player’s daily Loss Limit is reached, the player will only be able to buy in again at midnight.

A player can set and adjust the Loss Limit on WSOP.com Platform through the Responsible Gaming Tools (under the Controls section).

Any decrease to a player’s Loss Limit will take effect immediately. Any increase to a player’s Loss Limit will only take effect once 24 hours have expired since the last Loss Limit increase request and the player’s next log-in to his/her account.

If we withhold or delay the payment of any winnings of a player for any reason (e.g. a player having his/her winnings withheld in accordance with any taxation reporting requirements), the portion of winnings withheld will not be included within any calculations with regard to the Loss Limits set by the player until the winnings are released to the player’s bankroll. For the avoidance of doubt, the winnings will be included in the calculations of the Loss Limits which is in force at such point time only when the winnings are released to the player’s bankroll.

When a Loss Limit time period expires and a further period with regards to the loss limit begins, any funds that have added to “the table” (through a buy or re-buy) during a poker tournament or ring game are also excluded from the Loss Limit calculation. By way of example, if a player sets a daily Loss Limit of $50 and such player has bet $10 in a hand if the player is still participating in such hand when the new daily Loss Limit begins such player may lose up to $60 (the $10 “at the table” plus the $50 Loss Limit).

Players must be aware that any Loss Limit which has been set will have an effect upon their ability to fund tournament buy-ins, re-buys, add-ons and play at cash tables during the period of their Loss Limit (i.e. tournament buy-ins, re-buys and add-ons will count towards a player’s loss limit). As a result, if such player reaches the Loss Limit during a tournament, the player will not be able to fund a re-buy or add-on. By way of example, if a player set a daily loss limit of $30 and buys in to a tournament for $20, the player will not be able to re-buy into a tournament if such re-buy in costs $15.

Please Note: A player may request to increase the Loss Limit multiple times during the time period set, the last request made during such period will come into effect once the relevant time period has expired and the player next logs into the player's account.

A player’s set Loss Limit shall automatically renew unless adjusted.

Tournament Limit

Setting a Tournament Limit on your WSOP.com account allows you to control the amount of money that is spent on buy-ins to poker Tournaments on a daily or weekly basis.

Once a Tournament Limit has been set on your account, you will receive notification when you have reached your limit and will not be permitted to buy-in another Tournament buy-in for the rest of that day or week (as applicable).

Any decrease to a player’s Tournament Limit will take effect immediately. Any increase to a player’s Tournament Limit will only take effect once 24 hours have expired since the last Tournament Limit increase request and the player's next log-in to his/her account.

If a player reaches the Tournament Limit during a tournament, the player will be able to complete the tournament but will not be permitted to spend any additional funds on any re-buys, re-entries and add-ons in the tournament.

Buy-In Limit

Setting a Buy-In Limit on your WSOP.com account allows you to control the amount of money that is spent cash games on a daily or weekly basis.

Once a Buy-In Limit has been set on your account, you will receive notification when you have reached your limit and will not be permitted to buy-in to a cash game for the rest of that day or week (as applicable).

Any decrease to a player’s Buy-In Limit will take effect immediately. Any increase to a player’s Buy-In Limit will only take effect once 24 hours have expired since the last Buy-In Limit increase request and the player's next log-in to his/her account.

If a player reaches the Buy-In Limit, the player will be able to complete the cash game but will not be permitted to spend any additional funds on any re-buys, re-entries and add-ons in any cash games until the applicable Buy-In limit has expired.

Cooling-Off

If, at any stage, a player wishes to take a break from gambling, he can request a cooling off period from the WSOP.com Platform of 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 5 months or for any other period which may not be less than 30 days and may not be greater than 180 days. A player can request a cooling off period through the Responsible Gaming Tools on the WSOP.com Platform or by contacting a representative by email or live chat 24 hours a day. A player can access the Responsible Gaming Tools: (i) from the desktop client, by clicking on the user avatar on upper left side and then clicking on Responsible Gaming Limits; (ii) from the mobile application, by clicking on the player’s avatar (or menu icon) which can be found on the top right hand side of the screen and then clicking on Responsible Gaming Limits. Under Responsible Gaming Limits, click Account Restrictions and select Cooling Off. The player can choose between the available periods of time he wishes to “cool off” for and then click submit. The player will then be logged off theWSOP.com Platform.

During the "cooling-off" period a player's WSOP.com Platform account will be suspended and WSOP.com Platform will take all reasonable measures to make sure the player does not receive promotional offers. This suspension is irrevocable during the "cooling-off" period. The player's WSOP.com Platform account will automatically re-open at the end of the selected "cooling-off" period. A player may withdraw their remaining bankroll during the cooling off period but will not be able to deposit additional funds during the cooling off period.

Self-Exclusion

If, at any stage, a player becomes concerned about such player's gambling, the player can make a request online to be self-excluded from the WSOP.com Platform for periods of 1 year, 5 years, or permanently.

In order to set a self-exclusion period, the player must access the Responsible Gaming Tools and then follow the relevant instructions below. A player can access the My Account page: (i) from the from desktop client, by clicking on the user avatar on upper left side and then clicking on Responsible Gaming Limits; (ii) from mobile application, by clicking on the player’s avatar (or menu icon) which can be found on the top right hand side of the screen and then clicking on Responsible Gaming Limits.

Once a player self-excludes, we will block (or, where applicable, close) such player’s account and any other online gambling account that the player has with the Company in Nevada. Any new accounts that such player attempts to open with the Company during the period of such self-exclusion will also be blocked (or closed) as soon as they are detected. Any wager which a player has made that is still open when such player self excludes will be cancelled and the related funds will be returned to you. In addition, we will take all reasonable measures to make sure the player does not receive any promotional material during this time of self-exclusion.

During the self-exclusion period, the request for blocked access will be enforced and irrevocable. You may call our member support team to re-activate your account once the self-exclusion period has ended as the account will not be automatically reinstated. Non-permanent self-exclusion requests initiated on WSOP.com must be reinstated by WSOP.com and cannot be reinstated at a Caesars facility. The online request for permanent self-exclusion will be permanently enforced and is irrevocable. Permanent self-exclusion through the WSOP.com poker client is permanent and the blocked account will not be eligible for reinstatement.

Please note that any request for exclusion from the WSOP.com, such self-exclusion will also apply to all land based casino and/or hotel properties, companies, online gambling sites or brands that are currently owned, operated, managed, or serviced or will be owned, operated, managed or serviced by Caesars Entertainment or its affiliates after the date of this request. In such event, such player agrees not to gamble or even visit any part of a facility - including gaming areas, gaming floors, restaurants, hotels, pari-mutuel gaming areas, pavilions, entertainment venues, and any other area of a gambling property owned, operated, managed, or serviced by the Company or its affiliates during the period of the player's self-exclusion.

Following the integration of William Hill into Caesars Entertainment, Inc. ("Caesars"), Caesars will continue the existing exclusion policies in place at William Hill sports books and online wagering platforms. Additionally, where possible, William Hill sportsbooks and online wagering platforms (and any sportsbooks/online wagering platforms that Caesars rebrands) will also exclude guests who are participants of a state-specific or state sponsored exclusion list in other states across the portfolio. Additionally, Caesars will continue to honor any in-house exclusion request initiated at William Hill and will be subject to Caesars'™ Responsible Gaming Exclusion Policy.

Finally, we reserve the right to exclude a player at our discretion from all casino properties and online sites which are owned, operated or managed by the Company or its affiliates, if we determine there is a reasonable risk that the player is not gambling responsibly and he refuses to self-restrict or self-exclude.

Push Notifications

Please note! Should a player download any of our applications to his/her device and agree to receive push notifications, we will block your receipt of such notifications if you choose to: (i) self-exclude from the WSOP.com Platform; or (ii) cool off from the WSOP.com Platform and we will block such push notifications for the duration you have chosen to cool off for.

If you have not self-excluded or chosen to cool off from the WSOP.com Platform, you can prevent receipt of such notifications: (i) via the device itself; (ii) by deleting the application; or (iii) go to the Responsible Gaming Tools (under the Controls section) and click on Marketing preferences.

Opting Out of Receipt of Direct Advertising Materials

You can opt out from all direct advertising materials at any time by:

(i) clicking the “unsubscribe” link available in every email or by contacting Customer Support. Please visit the “Contact Us” page to get in touch with Customer Support; or

(ii) go to the Responsible Gaming Tools (under the Controls section) and click on Marketing preferences.

If you choose to cool off or self-exclude, you automatically will be opted out of receiving direct advertising materials for the duration of your cool off or self-exclusion period.

When Might Gambling Be a Problem?

The following highlights a number of questions a player should ask himself/herself and the player's loved ones to help identify potential signs of a gambling problem.   • Are you reluctant to use "gambling money" for normal expenditures?
  • Does gambling ever make you careless about the welfare of your family?
  • Do you ever gamble longer than you had planned?
  • Do you ever gamble to escape worries or trouble?
  • Have you ever committed or considered committing an illegal act to finance gambling?
  • Does gambling make you have difficulty sleeping?
  • Do arguments, disappointments, or frustrations create an urge to gamble?
  • Do you have an urge to celebrate good fortune with a few hours of gambling?
  • Have you ever considered self-destructive behavior as a result of your gambling?

Risks Associated With Gambling

Gambling can have an impact on a player's life, some of the risks associated with gambling are:

  • Losing more money than you budget for.
  • Spending more time gambling than you intend.
  • Neglecting loved ones.
  • Declining self-esteem.
  • Increased stress and anxiety.
  • Developing a preoccupation with gambling.
  • Placing increasingly larger bets in order to get a rush.
  • Gambling to escape or to improve your mood.
  • Playing to escape from reality.
  • Heightened states of euphoria which may affect your judgement.

Myths Associated with Gambling

Players often believe in false myths regarding gambling. While the list below is by no means an exhaustive list of gambling myths, some of the more commonly held myths are:

  • A player’s luck changes the more a player gambles.
  • If a player increases the value of the bets the player places, the player will win the money back.
  • That a player can have a lucky day.
  • Tracking previous results can help a player forecast the coming results.
  • If a player plays on more than one casino game or in more than one poker game at a time, the player will increase the chances of winning.
  • That a player can develop a special strategy that will help him/her win.
  • Knowing a game well will increase a player’s chances of winning.
  • It’s not possible to become addicted to something like gambling.
  • To be a problem gambler a player has to gamble every day.
  • If a player can afford to gamble, then he can’t be a problem gambler.
  • Only irresponsible people become addicted to gambling.
  • Problem gambling is easy to recognize.
