Occurs when students reflect on and monitor their progress
to inform their future learning goals. (self assessment)

ROLES OF CLASSROOM
ASSESSMENT IN THE TEACHING-
LEARNING PROCESS
Formative.
◦ It is a type of assessment used to monitor the learning
progress of the students during instruction.
Diagnostic.
It is a type of assessment given at the beginning of the
instruction. It aims to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of the students and regarding the topics to
be discussed.
Evaluative.
It Refers to the process of determining the extent to
which instructional objectives are attained.
It Refers to the comparison of data to standard for
purpose of judging worth or quality.
Facilitative.
Assessment where learning Students ask a
question, discover answers and apply their
knowledge to a real world problem.
Motivational.
Assessment is a test to discover what spurs people to take
a particular action, make a decision, or choose one thing
over the other. It's about evaluating an individual's
interests, desires, and preferences, and using these pieces
of information to know what drives them to commit to
specific expectations.
