Subject: Upgrade to Integrated School Program for students studying in 3 yr /4 yr Classroom Program

Dear Parent,
Greetings from FIITJEE!

We hope your ward is performing well in academics and making steady progress. You must be monitoring his / her
performance closely so that success is assured at every step.

Many of you have approached us in the last few days with request for upgradation of your ward's program to an
integrated program from class XI. You must be aware of the huge demand for admission to FIITJEE's integrated
school program and every year many students face disappointment for not being able to get a seat at the desired
location. Most of our seats for integrated programs are already filled by the students continuing from class IX. In order
to give priority to our Classroom Program students, we give them the opportunity to upgrade to integrated program
before left over seats are open for general admissions. In case you are evaluating an option to make your ward study
in Integrated Program in class XI, please avail this option and avoid disappointment at a later stage.

An upgrade eligibility test will be held for all classroom program (CRP) students of Class 10 on Sunday 21st August
2016 at respective study Centers. The students will be tested on the basis of the following Class 10 curriculum in
Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. The paper will be a completely OMR objective paper. The duration of the test will
be from 08.00 A.M to 11.00 A.M. Results will be declared on 31.08.2016 and will be emailed to individual students /
Parents.

FAQ's on Upgradation Process

1. What is meant by Upgradation process?

The process of shifting the child from Classroom program to Integrated Program in class 11, midway after
studying class 9th and 10th or class 10th alone, in CRP mode, is termed as Upgradation Process.

2. Who is eligible for Upgradation?

Generally, Upgradation (Mid way Program change) is allowed for a student who is completing Class 10.
Students who joined FIITJEE either in 4 Yr Classroom program in Class 9 or in 3 Yr Classroom Program in
Class 10 after completion of Class 10 will become eligible for Upgradation.

3. Will there be any criteria for Upgradation?

Yes, Upgrade Eligibility test (UET) is the basic eligibility criteria. But students who have not opted for an
exit option i.e. paid the PDCs for all the 4 or 3 years are eligible for up gradation subject to being short
listed in Upgrade Eligibility Test.

4. What is Upgrade Eligibility Test & When is it conducted? Is there any registration involved in it?

It’s a Screening / Eligibility Test conducted only for FIITJEE students presently in Class 10 (only 4 / 3 year
CRP) for joining Pinnacle Integrated School Program. It will be conducted on 21 st August 2016 (Sunday)
without any registration charges. Registration will be done by the Academic Operations dept in the respective
centers. At MVM, Pl handover the duly filled in registration forms to Mr.Jagan –(96771 77709) on or
before 18th of August 2016. At SBOA Pl handover the duly filled in registration forms to
Mr.Muthumurugan–(9282411558) on or before 18th of August 2016.

5. What is the need for Upgrade Eligibility Test, when the student is already studying in FIITJEE?

This test is being conducted to give first preference to existing FIITJEE students for joining the Integrated
School Program. There is a growing demand for Pinnacle program and the seats available are limited;
existing students should have an edge over others. Therefore, it is exclusively designed by FIITJEE Chennai
Centre.

6. Will all the students be upgraded to Pinnacle Program if they take the UET?

No, only when the student selected through UET will be eligible for upgrade.

7. Will there be any Fee Waiver offered in UET like FTRE?

No. It is just an Eligibility Test without any Fee waiver offer.

8. If the student is not selected in UET, what will be the other option for Upgradation?

Student can take the Big Bang Edge Test scheduled on 16th October 2016 or the FTRE exam scheduled on
25th December. If the students clear the CUT OFF for Pinnacle Program in any of the test, then they will be
given a chance for Upgradation, subject to availability of the seats in the program / center.

9. Will my ward be considered for any scholarship / Fee Waivers towards the upgrade Fee?

Yes. Your ward will get fee waiver as offered at the time of enrolment in class IX,X for Integrated School
Program.

10. I have opted for Exit option at the time of Admission in Class IX or X. Can I exercise this option and
rewrite FTRE? Will FTRE scholarship be valid?

NO. Exit option is not meant for joining as a fresh student. It is meant for students who are changing to
Commerce or humanities etc. Please do not submit this form of upgrade if you want to exercise your exit
option.

11. On what basis is the Upgrade Fees collected or what is the Formula for Upgrade fee calculation?

Upgrade fee = Pinnacle fee applicable on the date of upgrade after adjustment of scholarship as offered at
the time of enrolment for integrated program less fee paid towards XI and XII.

12. After UET results are declared, what is the next step?

You are supposed to mention your preference of school in the UET Registration Form. Based on your
choices, an available school will be allocated to you and you’ll be informed about the fee payable and cutoff
dates. Left over seats after the cutoff dates will be released to other students.

13. I am already enrolled in the combined program. Do I still need to write this test to be eligible for
admissions?

No. Students who are already enrolled in to a Combined Program and have a seat confirmation need not
write this test again.
