1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 General
This document describes the procedure of Site Acceptance test for the air compressor.
2.1 The air compressor is a motor driven oil injected single stage rotary screw that is completed with
suction air filter, air cooled air & oil cooler and necessary instrumentations as shown in air
compressor P&ID : VD-MR-007-01-020.
Rating 375 KW
2.3 During the site acceptance test, following shall be conducted and their procedure shall be
described with separate sections in this document.

Verify the system’s components and piping with using P&ID for Air Compressor (VD-MR-007-
01-020) and make a comment on the Exhibit 1 “P&ID Verification Check Sheet” if any.
4.1 Check and ensure that there is no obstruction near the Air compressor test area. Clean or move
if any.
42 Connect the compressed air discharge to the flow gauge & silencer according to Exhibit 3 “Test
Layout Diagram”. Secure the each connection and instruments installation.
4.3 Check the level of lubricant oil in the air compressor crank case. Refill if required.
4.4 Check all valves are their normal operation position (close or open).
4.6 Connect the electric cables to the air compressor motor, fan motors and LCP respectively.
Ensure the incoming powers are correct to each equipment. and securely fastened.
5.1 Press the “Start” button and press the “E-stop” button when the main motor & fan motor starts to
rotate
5.2 Check immediately that the rotation is correct. (counter-clock wise looking on coupling & fan).
Press the “Stop” button if the rotation is not correct and check the wiring.
5.3 Collect at each data point according to the mechanical test sheet as Exhibit 4 “Mechanical Run
Test Check Sheet”.
5.4 During the mechanical run test, check the serviced discharge pressure and flow according to
section “8.0 Performance Test”.
5.5 Continue the run test including performance test for four(4) hours after oil stabilized and stop
the air compressor by pressing the “Stop” Button.

Collect at each data point according to the check sheet of Exhibit 6 “LCP Function Test Check
Sheet”
7.1 When all test and inspection are completed, release the compressed air and drain off
condensate from the package completely.
7.2 Test reports shall use enclosed Exhibits and check sheets and signed by the Inspectors.
