Community Programme
NEWSLETTER MARCH 2011
Total Awarded Amount Approaches 1.5 million
The past 12 months have seen almost 450,000 awarded to 19 highly
deserving projects across Leeds. This takes the total amount awarded by the
Caird Bardon Community Programme to just short of 1.5 million quite an
achievement in 4 years!
As another year passes by, the Programme has seen a new woodland planted,
a new community centre built and others updated. Churches have been
repaired, childrens play areas have been installed and local parks improved.
Steve Ward, Site Manager from Caird Bardon said:
Your project could be only an application form away from being awarded the
money to make your communitys dream a reality, so what are you waiting for?
On 18 September 2010,
Rothwell Baptist Church was
officially re-opened and large
numbers of local residents
turned out to see the new
facilities unveiled. The Church
has been transformed into a
modern centre with warm,
bright spaces for worship and
community activities.
Rothwell Baptist Church
Since it re-opened, the Church
has been a hive of activity and a real community hub for Rothwell. Details can
be found on their website at: www.rothwellbaptist.org.uk.
