Head Coach: Mark Farley
Alma Mater: UNI, 1986
Record at UNI: 111-51
14th Season
UNI head coach Mark Farley, once known as the
walk on from Waukon, has led the Panthers to a
mark of 111-51 in his 13 years at the helm of the
program.
In Missouri Valley Football Conference play, Farley
has guided the Panthers to a record of 67-29 for an
impressive .697 winning percentage in league play.
Farley is the MVFCs all-time coaching wins leader
with 67 league victories.
Included in that 13-year run for Farley and the
Panthers are seven conference championships, seven
playoff appearances, 10 top-25 final rankings, three
national semifinal appearances and one national
title game appearance in 2005. Farley holds the UNI
record for postseason coaching victories with 10. He
is 10-7 all-time in the FCS playoffs.
It is safe to say, coach Farley has returned Panther
football to its rightful home among the FCS elite.
Heading into his 14th year as the Panther men-
tor, Farley never has felt more at home. Through his
leadership, the Panthers have returned to the glory
days when they won seven straight conference titles
and made seven consecutive FCS playoff appear-
ances in the decade of the 90s. In Farleys 13 years
at the helm, UNI has won at least a share of seven
Missouri Valley Football Conference titles. UNI has
also advanced to the quarterfinals (2003, 2007, 2011),
semifinals (2001, 2008) and the national title game
(2005) in six of those seven playoff appearances. Ten
of Farleys 13 previous Panther teams have finished
the season ranked in the top 25.

New Faces, New Talent: UNI fans will see some new fac-
es this season as the Panthers welcome 25 true freshmen
and nine FBS/junior college transfers. The Panthers also
made an addition to the coaching staff this spring with
tight ends/offensive tackles coach Frank Verducci joining
the 2014 staff.
Winning Tradition: Head coach Mark Farley earned his
100th career win during the 2012 season. He now has an
all-time record of 111-51 in his 13 years at the helm. Stan
Sheriff holds the UNI record with 129 wins from 1960-82.
All in the Family: Family has always been important
to the Panthers and this years roster shows the bond

dent-athletes that have followed in their fathers foot-
