KimberleyTrainingInstitute(KTI),Recfishwest andWillieCreekPearlsareexcitedto announceaninitiativetoencouragesupport ofresearchforthelatestbarramundirelease intoWillieCreek. InJuly2013,KTIandRecfishwestreleased500 juvenilebarramundiintoWillie.Theaimof thereleaseistoenhancetherecreational fishingexperienceassociatedwithfishingin WillieCreek,aswellasdiscovermoreonthe movement,growth,abundanceandsurvival ofBarramundiinthelocalsystem. Allfishhaveauniquelynumberedtagwith
KTI'sJeffCooperandDarrenBanfieldfromWillieCreekPearls

theBroomeAquacultureCentresdetails. Anglersfortunateenoughtocatchoneofthe taggedfishshouldcontacttheBACwithdetailsofthebarramundislength,thegenerallocation,dateof captureandthetagnumber. ByreportingthesedetailstotheBroomeAquacultureCentre,thereporterwinsa$100WillieCreek PearlsgiftvouchervalidforSouthSeaCulturedPearlpurchases.
