ABSTRACT

The historical progression of Anatomy as a scientific field can be traced from

early examinations of sacrificial individuals to the sophisticated evaluations of

the human body conducted by contemporary researchers. The significance of

human anatomy lies in its ability to provide an understanding of the body's

visible structures and the microscopic characteristics of cells and tissues,

which are crucial for diagnosing and treating pathological conditions.

This report encapsulates the knowledge gained during my six-month

industrial training in the laboratory and nursing department. The activities

carried out in these areas enabled me to engage in practical work, make

observations, and conduct experiments on various specimens in the lab.

Additionally, it enhanced my skills in caring for and promoting the health of

patients dealing with various illnesses.

INTRODUCTION

Background of Study

This comprehensive documentation encompasses the diverse tasks

and experiences I encountered during my six-month industrial

training program. The primary aim of this industrial training is to

impart practical knowledge to students in their respective fields of

study, preparing them for future career prospects.

The Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) stands as a

valuable avenue for students to gain hands-on exposure in their

chosen academic disciplines, enhancing their readiness for

prospective employment opportunities. My time spent over half a year

at Family Health Care Hospital in Lagos State profoundly deepened

my grasp of the practical facets of Human Anatomy.

SIWES is meticulously structured to acquaint students with various

machinery and equipment, professional work methodologies, and the

imperative safety measures associated with workplaces across diverse

industries and organizations. The standard duration for participation

in the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme usually spans 24

weeks. Nevertheless, specific engineering and technology programs

entail a more extended period of 40 weeks. This endeavor operates as

a tripartite collaboration involving students, universities, and

industries, fostering a comprehensive learning experience.

Aims/ Objectives of Study

i. The aim of the is to provide health care services to individuals

ii. The medical Health Center also provides training for medical students

and students related to medical field.

iii. To provide clinical and research delivery.
