NARRATIVE REPORT
On August 1, 2022 St. Mary's Academy of Guiuan started the limited face-to-face
classes for the school year 2022-2023 after a two-year modular distance learning due to
the nationwide pandemic – covid-19. Each section was divided into two groups (set-A and
set-B) in accordance with the safety protocols given by the IATF. For the first week of the
class, each adviser was tasked to have the orientation about schools’ guidelines and policies
stated on the student’s handbook emphasizing the rules and regulations need to be
followed by everyone. The presentation or orientation also covered various topics such as
school rules, attendance, grading system, and disciplinary measures. The students were
encouraged to ask questions, and the school administration was more than willing to
address their concerns. After a few months, full face-to-face was conducted. Students were
all happy to see his/her classmates. Last December 2022, the school held its first annual
Christmas party. Students were delighted and joyfully celebrated the first face to face
Christmas party ever held since modular instruction. Last January 2023, the school
celebrated personnel's day as a thank you to the hardworking personnel of this institution.
Students prepared some presentations and simple gifts to their beloved teachers. February
2023, the first ever sports fest was conducted, there were different booths to enjoy, games
to play, and the grade 11 was proclaimed as overall champion of this celebration. The
school also celebrated Family Day as a tradition of this institution to celebrate and spent
time with families. For the month of May, the awardee students were the first to comply
their clearances as a preparation for their examination. Cleaning the classroom was also
done during this month in preparation for the year-end inventory. The school year 2022-
2023 had officially ended on May 19-20, 2023.
