NARRATIVE REPORT ON BRIGADA ESKWELA 2024


The annual Brigada Eskwela, a nationwide initiative that embodies the spirit of “bayanihan” once
again brought together the community to prepare our schools for the opening of classes. This year, the
theme “Bayanihan para sa MATATAG na Paaralan” resonated deeply, emphasizing the collective effort
needed to build resilient and robust learning environments for our children.
On July 22-26, Old San Agustin National High School transformed into a hive of activity as parents,
teachers, students, and community members united in their shared mission. The are buzzed with the
sounds of laughter, camaraderie, and clanging of tools.
It officially started last July 22, 2024 with a motorcade to the catchment barangays followed with an
opening program, present during the activity was the school head, teachers, parents, students and
stakeholders particularly the Philippine Army personnel from 63rd Infantry Batallion. They rendered service
such as minor repair and repainting of wall and ceiling. From the early morning hours, volunteers
enthusiastically tackled various tasks:
On the second day, parents have arrived early to school and participated in the Brigada Eskwela
2024 at the same time enrolment for school year 2024-2025. They have cleaned windows, repaint chairs
and did minor repair on tables and chairs. After rendering service, they have enrolled their children for the
opening of classes.
Parents, Stakeholders and students continued their participation on the Brigada Eskwela for the
remaining days. They have ensured their support to the school as the opening of classes is fast-
approaching they continued the repainting, repair and cleaning.
In addition, other Stakeholders from Guardians Group Basey Chapter participated the
BrigadaEskwela in the succeeding days as their help to the school in the preparation of opening of classes.
Moreover, on July 28 (Sunday) friends from Guardians San Fernando Chapter participated in the
Brigada Eskwela. They finished the repainting and minor repair of school’s physical facilities such as junior
fence and perimeter fence. The activity ended with the awarding of certificates to the participating
stakeholders. The school principal heartily thanked the stakeholders for supporting the different projects
and programs of the school. She then underscored the value of bayanihan and continue extending their
support to the school.
