PROCEDURE DURING FIRE

I. LIFE SAFETY PROTECTION SYSTEM

The building is provided with the following systems;

a. Fire Protection System (Sprinkler System, Fire Extinguishers)

b. Fire Detection and alarm system (Manual push Station, Strobe Lights, Visual & Audio
Alarm, Smoke & Heat detectors)

c. Public Address System (PA) – override Background Music during any announcements.

d. Exit Signs/Lights

e. Security System (CCTV) – monitor activities at common areas at FCC Room.

II. IN CASE OF CONFIRMED FIRE SITUATION

A. DURING FIRE:

1. There are three (3) methods to activate Audio/Visual alarm by means of Strobe and
Horn and Public Address (PA).

1.1 General alarm. Once the FCC operator trigger the General alarm, all strobe and
horn on the whole building will be activated with automatic pre-recorded
annunciation (PA).

1.2 Manual Pull Station. Upon pulling manual pull station, this will send signal to
Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) in FCC Room located at

Ground floor, after Five (5) minutes (default), if no one aborted the alarm, it
will automatically trigger the strobe and horn on the affected
floor and one floor below one floor above together with automatic pre-
recorded annunciation And, if no one aborted again the alarm on FACP within
a period of Five (5) minutes (default), general alarm will be triggered and
activate the Strobe and Horn on the whole building with automatic pre-
recorded annunciation.

1.3 When smoke/heat detector sense smoke /abrupt temperature increase, it will
send signal to FACP at FCC Room indicating alarm on the Panel and after
Five (5) minutes default, if no one aborted the heat/smoke detector alarm, it
will trigger the strobe and horn on the affected floor and one floor below one
floor above together with automatic pre-recorded annunciation. And, if no one
aborted again the alarm on FACP within a period of Five (5) minutes (default),
general alarm will be triggered and activate the Strobe and Horn on the whole
building with automatic pre-recorded annunciation.

B. DURING FIRE SITUATION:

1. In case the alarm was a confirmed fire situation, the Safety Personnel and Guard in
charge will trigger the manual push button located at designated areas to give signal to
FCC room to triggered general alarm.

2. Strobe and Horn on the affected floor and one floor below one floor above. They will
also instruct the FCC operator to trigger the General Alarm to activate audio and
visual alarm of the whole building.

3. If the FCC Operator confirmed as fire situation, he will trigger the General Alarm at
FCC Room which activates the Strobe and Horn for the whole building and will also
announce the situation through PA system.

4. Once the General alarm was triggered, the building tenants/occupants shall
immediately evacuate the building and proceed at the designated Fire exits and
evacuation areas/assembly point to be guided by exit lights/signs and assigned unit Fire
Marshall. (See attached Evacuation Plan). Operators / Administration / Staffs and other
personnel can use Fire Exits as follows:

a. Fire Exits # 1 and 2: Podium 2-35th Floor

B5 to Ground Floor

5. The building occupants and other personnel can also trigger the Strobe and Horn
during confirmed fire situation through Manual Pull Station located on the designated
areas on the corridors (See attached Key plan). Then follow procedure on item 4.

6. The building occupants and other personnel during confirmed emergency situation
must be vigilant. He/she must do the following;

a. If you are not in immediate danger, report immediately to FCC room regarding the
situation or call Fire Brigade, Building manager & security personnel. Provide the
contact person with the following information:

i. Building or area name

ii. Approximate location of the fire

iii. Size and type of fire

iv. Your name

b. If you are formally trained in fire fighting techniques and are not in immediate
danger, you may attempt to extinguish the fire. Do not place yourself or others in
unnecessary danger.

c. Put-off the fire if controllable using Fire extinguishers located at designated areas.

b. Inform other occupants regarding the situation.

c. Proceed to manual push station and trigger the alarm.

7. The assigned Chief Fire Marshall in charge, Guards on duty and Safety personnel
must check and ensure that all personnel inside the building must be in the designated
evacuation area.

8. During actual emergencies, building occupants must receive permission from the
Chief Fire Marshall before re-entering the building.

9. Fire Brigade/Fire Fighters will position at (street) where the Fire Department
Connection (FDC) were located. They will enter at the Staff Entrance at Ground Floor
to take over the FCC room as a standard operating procedure.

III. SYSTEM MONITORING

1. There will be one (2) operator (Day and Night Shift) at Fire Control Center (FCC)/
Security Room in charge of the FACP, PA/BGM and CCTV system. Routing Guards
and Safety personnel 24 hours every day to monitor, check and ensure safety of the
operators/Staff and every person on the building.

2. The FCC operators were provided by a 2-way radio connected to all Guards on duty
and Safety Personnel in charge to monitor activities and possible emergencies on site.

3. In case alarm is seen in the FACP, the FCC operators will inform the Guards/Safety
personnel where the alarm is coming from. The safety personnel/Guards must respond
and will determine if the incident is controllable or not. If it is controllable, he will
instruct the FCC operator to abort/reset the alarm in the FACP at the FCC Room.

4. If the alarm is caused by fire, the Safety Personnel or Guard must immediately get the
Fire Extinguishers (temporary or permanent) at designated area (See attached Key
plan). If the fire cannot be controlled, the Safety Personnel and Guard in charge will
trigger the manual pull station located at designated areas (See attached Key plan) to
activate audio and visual alarm only on the affected floor. They will also instruct the
FCC operator to trigger the General Alarm to activate audio and visual alarm of the
whole building.

IV. OTHER SAFETY PROCEDURE

Building Administrator will conduct Fire Drill and simulate scenarios during Fire alarm
and other emergencies to check/ensure that the Life Safety Protection and Emergency
Procedure will be followed and take effect during such incidents.

Security team should be properly trained to respond to different emergency scenarios

whether confirmed or unconfirmed emergency incident (false triggering of FDAS,
BGM/PA, accidental activation of emergency pull switch, etc.) Security DC/OIC should
respond according to agreed protocol to avoid confusion or panic of building
tenants/occupants as well as to arrive at a decision to evacuate the building.

Security team should also have the standard protocol in communication as to whom to
elevate different emergency situations/scenarios.
