Oracle Maintenance for EBS - Implementation Information

• Oracle Mobile Maintenance for EBS works on EBS Version 12.2.3 and above
• Works on iOS and Android
• Server-side patch is a mandatory patch to support the new Mobile Maintenance applications, please
refer below
• Prerequisite: 30144036:R12.SCM_PF.C (Mobile release 9 consolidated patch) 34116139:R12.EAM.C
• If instance is 12.2.10 or higher 34439382:R12.EAM.C
• Refer Maintenance Release Note: 1923702.1 for more details on installation
Oracle Maintenance for EBS - Deployment options

• Users can download the new Mobile Maintenance application Oracle Maintenance for EBS from App
Store and Google Play respectively
• Once the new Mobile Maintenance application is on their device, online app can be directly accessed
through the URL
• Offline users should download the data to mobile
• The functionality, look & feel found in the new Mobile Maintenance application is the same as of the
older application also
• Please refer the document for detailed steps for installing the app Oracle E-Business Suite Mobile

• Are Windows OS devices supported?


• No, we do not support Windows devices.

• Does the app support push notifications ?


• No, the app does not support push notifications

• Does the app support Flexfields?


• Release 10+ of the app support Flexfields

• What EBS versions will be supported by new Mobile Maintenance app?


• New Mobile Maintenance app will support 12.2.3 and above

• Is the app supported in SSO and DMZ configurations?


• Yes, it is. For details on these configurations please refer Advanced Configurations for Secure Communication
with HTTPS in the Oracle E-Business Suite Mobile Apps Administrator's Guide, Release 12.2

Oracle Maintenance for EBS - FAQs

• Does the app work when there is no connection?


• The app works in two modes. Connected mode that will require constant connection to the EBS servers.
• The app also works in offline mode where technicians download all the data required for them to perform their
job to the app in the device, perform transactions and then users manually sync the client with server when there
is connection.

• When attempting to switch to offline mode the app indicates that user is not enabled for offline use
• Please review the offline implementation steps. The steps are covered at high level in Oracle Mobile Maintenance
for Oracle E-Business Suite Release Notes (Doc ID 1923702.1)
• More detail in Maintenance Mobile Offline Mode Implementation Guide (Doc ID 2309260.1)
