REASON: This Service Bulletin consists in the improvement of the extended landing gear
detection device

CLASSIFICATION: Recommended

It is recommended to embody the Service Bulletin 580-32-3155 at the same time, in

order to take full benefit of this modification

DESCRIPTION: The accomplishment of this Service Bulletin consists in the replacement of the
equipped rods made in Aluminium by equipped rods made in stainless steel

1. PLANNING INFORMATION

A. Effectivity

(1) Aircraft affected in-service

Refer to Airbus Service Bulletin A320-32-1288

(2) In-service components affected

Nose Landing Gear legs:

D23757XXX and derived parts

D23589XXX and derived parts
D23175XXX and derived parts

B. Reason

(1) The accomplishment of this Service Bulletin consists in the replacement of the equipped
rods made in Aluminium by equipped rods made in stainless steel

(2) The accomplishment of this Service Bulletin is recommended

It is recommended to embody the Service Bulletin 580-32-3155 at the same time, in order
to take full benefit of this modification

(3) This Service Bulletin is related to AIRBUS Service Bulletin A320-32-1288

(4) Pre modification parts will no longer be supplied.

C. Description (see figures 1 to 6)

(1) This Service Bulletin consists in the replacement of the equipped rods.

(2) Tasks to be carried out on the leg with double rod mechanism capability

(4) Part number changes

Refer to section 3 of this Service Bulletin.

Nose Landing Gear legs and leg fittings are interchangeable with the old ones

ATA 200 P/N change code: 02

(b) Of the component parts

Refer to section 3 of this Service Bulletin.

2. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS

A. General

This Service Bulletin must be accomplished in the workshop during repair or sufficient
disposability of the aircraft.

B. Procedure (see figure 1 to 6)

(1) Procedure for modification of double rod mechanism

- Remove and discard 2 equipped rods GA62953 or 00-200-1934 in accordance with

each relevant CMM.

- Install the 2 equipped rods GA67342 or GA67343 in accordance with each relevant
CMM

(2) Procedure for modification of one rod mechanism.

- Remove and discard 1 equipped rod 00-200-1934 in accordance with each relevant
CMM.

- Install 1 equipped rod GA67342 or GA67343 in accordance with each relevant CMM

(3) Identification

None

(4) Testings

Do a test in accordance with each relevant CMM
