B. REASON
(1) History
This Service Bulletin is issued further to an operator's request.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin certifies the change of Weight Variant (WV) from WV008 to
WV012 for A320-200 aircraft.
The weight changes are as follows:
- The Maximum Take Off Weight (MTOW) is increased from 73.5T to 77T
- The Maximum Landing Weight (MLW) is increased from 64.5T to 66T

SERVICE BULLETIN
SUMMARY
- The Maximum Zero Fuel Weight (MZFW) is increased from 61T to 62.5T.
This Service Bulletin also replaces the tyre pressure placards on the Nose Landing
Gear (NLG) and the Main Landing Gear (MLG) to show the new MTOW and the related
tyre pressure, and modifies the wiring of the Tyre Pressure Indicating Computer (TPIC),
if installed.
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin will satisfy the operator's request.
(4) Operational/Maintenance Consequences
The Operational/Maintenance Consequences of this Service Bulletin are covered by
the update of the affected publications detailed in "PLANNING INFORMATION".
For operational documentation update purposes: this Service Bulletin removes the
standard of MOD No. 23900K3471 and adds the standard of Mod. No. 30479K6164.
This WV change induces an MLW change. There may be some impacts on the Aircraft
Condition Monitoring System (ACMS) (Ex: Gross Weight Limits (GWL) setting).
If the tyres and/or wheels are not already qualified for MTOW 77T operations, they
must be replaced as per Service Bulletin No. A320-32-1007.
This Service Bulletin is based on the aircraft configuration as known by AIRBUS (first
aircraft delivery configuration and modified by the reported incorporation of AIRBUS
Service Bulletins).
Prior to Service Bulletin accomplishment, specific attention must be paid to structural
damage which may exist and to repairs which were performed on aircraft, because
they may be affected by the Service Bulletin. It must be verified that all allowable
damage limits and repairs performed (both in accordance with the Structural Repair
Manual (SRM) and outside of the SRM) are still applicable and effective to the
new Service Bulletin configuration. If any repairs were performed and prevent
accomplishment of this Service Bulletin, contact AIRBUS Customer Services Repair
Engineering Support department for instructions on how to proceed.
There may be additional or modified maintenance requirements, such as temporary
limits or additional inspections that apply with respect to the Service Bulletin
configuration.
AIRBUS disclaims any liability for the effect which the Service Bulletin may have on
repairs performed on the aircraft before accomplishment of the Service Bulletin.
If the post Service Bulletin repair status is not covered by the SRM and for repairs
outside of the SRM covered by a Repair and Design Approval Form (RDAF) issued by
AIRBUS, AIRBUS Customer Services Repair Engineering Support department should
be contacted. Repair review will be done by AIRBUS at conditions of the Customer
Services Catalogue.

C. REASON
