Warm-up activity:(10 minutes)
Start introducing the activity.
Give the instructions about how the game is played.
“I will ask one of you how do you feel? or what is the matter with
you? and he/or she answer then ask somebody.”
Give them 10 minutes.
Start the game.
Finish the game.
Lead-in: (POSTER-10 minutes)
Show the poster
Ask questions about the illnesses on poster.
Elicit the answer.
Move on introducing the topic.
Introduce the topic:
Provide the topic of the day and the unit. “Today our topic is health.”
Put the topic on the board “Health”
Have the students repeat.
Present the vocabulary:
The teacher shows the poster to introduce the illnesses.
The teacher shows poster and ask them what they see.
Activity I: Matching Activity (5 minutes)
The teacher writes down vocabularies and explanations of them.
Teacher asks students to match vocabularies and explanations.
Activity II:(5 minutes)
Ask students to work in group with their deskmate and two another
students.
Inform students about the activity. “ Everybody ask other ‘what is
the matter with you?’ and make suggestions to each other.”
Finish the activity.
Wrap up:
Ask the students what they learnt.
Summarize the day and remind homework
Ask them to practice vocabulary at home.
Say goodbye and finish the lesson.
