Clear voice: to get their attention and to be ready to start the lesson.
Using simple words: to help children understand the words because they have
simple background knowledge at this age.
Use baby language: when I use my hand to explain the lesson, and when I move
the body to do Physical activity with the children.
Lesson Introduction
Whole group activity: Time 15 minutes. Question (Blooms Taxonomy)
Assessment for Learning: How will you determine if the students understood the
learning outcome? What evidence will you show to prove this?
To make sure and clear that all the students have understood how to write letter
c and know the sound C. There are main things the teacher should do.
Firstly, ask the kids some questions related to the story to know if the student
recognizes and know what happen in the story and understand the about butter
fly cycle.
Secondly, the teacher must use formal assessment (checklist) to take notes and
evaluate each student to know what each student need to learn and what they
already now.
Thirdly, let all the kids do all the activities even if it is easy or difficult for some
of them to challenge them by encouraging them to think and solve problems and
develop their cognitive development and their thinking.
General Comments
Firstly, discuss one aspect that YOU feel you did very well. Try to analyze
why you think it worked well and what hints you would share with other teachers
about the successful strategy/ resource/activity/management style etc.
What I do well in this lesson is engage children before start reading the story
by motived them to think and what the story will be about it, and give them
freedom to say what it is their imagination about the story action.
