HOMEWORK

The amount of homework given to students needs to be reduced for several reasons. In short,
time is limited in many students’ lives. At the same time, other students are showing alarming levels of
obesity due to sedentary lifestyles. Lastly, family disharmony has increased as a result of stressed
parents trying to get their children to do their homework.
Firstly, time is limited. Many students don’t arrive home until 6 pm. This is because they have
chosen to play sports which require a few hours training each week or they engage in cultural activities,
which are often taught after school. By the time they have finished dinner, showered and finished jobs it
is 8pm. If they have homework, then it is too late to start. Therefore it is fair to say there is not enough
time after school to complete quality homework.
On the other hand, many other young people are recording high levels of obesity because of
their sedentary lifestyles. Why sit still at night when students have been sitting still in classrooms all
day? This is not good for their health and contributes to the high level of obesity seen today.
Finally, homework places huge amounts of stress on already stressed out families. In many
families both parents are working and the last thing they need is to fight with their children at the end of
a stressful day.
By reducing the amount of nightly homework, the family home would be a much more relaxed
place, as it should be.
In conclusion, homework should be reduced. We must recognize that students’ time is limited,
sedentary work contributes to the high levels of obesity and finally, homework can cause an increase in
family disharmony. The wellbeing of students is far more important than excessive amounts of
homework.

Boarding School Education

While many parents send their children to public schools, there are some other people choose
boarding school education. They prefer their children are educated there for some reasons.

At an early age interacting and communicating with people is very important for a child's personal life
and can be especially helpful for his/her future. In a boarding school, shy children can take advantage of
interaction through communal activities. The boarding school also offers a great variety of activities such
as arts, sports, and music that allow the children to demonstrate and develop specialized skills in their
free time.

Furthermore, the structured way of life and strict rules at the boarding school may help students
to get used to a well ordered way of life. The manners and social skills will help them to become more

Faster planes and cheaper flights are making it easier than ever before for people to travel. in
the most "developed" societies, visiting exotic place is a sought- after status symbol. The tourism
industries of both developed and developing countries have Recognised this fact and are learning to
take advantage of it.
There are, however, some problems associated with this new industry. Firstly, there is the
increasing crime rate. Some locals see tourists as an easy prey because, not only are they in unfamiliar
territory and therefore less able to take care of themselves, but also they carry visible items of wealth,
such as cameras and jewelry which can be disposed of quickly for profit.
Another major problem is health. with greater mobility comes greater danger of spreading
contagious diseases around the world. One carrier returning home could easily start an epidemic before
their illness was diagnosed. Moreover, the emergence of many diseases which resist antibiotics is
causing scientists to be increasingly concerned about this issue.
Also to be considered is the natural environment, which can be seriously threatened by too
many visitors. Australia's Great Barrier Reef, for example, is in danger of being destroyed by tourist and

Cigarette smokers are said to have a good chance of getting various fatal diseases. But, I think
that other people's tobacco smoke seems to increase the chances of nonsmokers getting a wide range of
cancers.
First, although passive smokers inhale less tobacco smoke, the researchers point out that the
smoke you breathe in is richer in many toxic chemicals. There is, for example, three times as much as
Benzo-apyrene, six times as much toluene and more than 50 times as much dimethynitrosamine. Of
course this substance will harm our body in the long run.
Secondly, the recent research reported that the risk of getting cancers not normally associated
with smoking also rose among passive smokers. The risk of Leukimia rose 6-8 times and the risk of
cervical cancer increased 3-4 times.
Thirdly, past studies have found that by product of cigarette smoke such as coinine and
thiocyanate, turn up in the blood, urine and saliva of non-smoking adults, children and fetuses that have
been exposed to smokers. These substances are the main causes of various cancers.
In short, the effects of exposure to the cigarette smoking of others are greater than has been
previously suspected. That is why passive smokers have more chances of contracting cancer than people
with now such exposure.

Nobody likes paying taxes. Even those who know that taxation is necessary and just are
reluctant to pay taxes. It is not pleasant to see part of your monthly income taken away from you in
income tax. Ignorant people think this is an injustice and make a grievance of it ; so it is just as well that
we should know why we are taxed. So that we can see the fairness of the system.
Every country must have a government of some sort, or life would be impossible. The primary
duties of a government are to protect the life and property of the citizens, to maintain law and order
and settle dispute between citizens in a just and orderly why through the law – courts, to defend the
country from foreign foes and to maintain the roads and highways. Besides, may government maintain
and direct education, provide hospitals for the sick and attend to sanitation. All these great public duties
need money: an army and navy have to be kept up. The police force and the judges have to be paid,
school have to be provided and teachers supported, expert health – officers and sanitary engineers have
to be employed.
Now where is all the money needed for the public service to come from?. The question is
answered by another. For whose benefits are all these service maintained? The answer is, for the
benefits of the public. It is the people as a whole, rich and poor, that benefit by security of life and
property, by the sound administration of justice, by the maintenance of roads, by the public hospital,
public schools, and good sanitation. Therefore it is only right that the public, the individual citizens of
the country should contribute the money needed; for the money they give comes back to them in the
shape of these public benefits which all enjoy.
So long, therefore, as we have a good and efficient government, so long as our money is being
used in the right way and so long as the burden of taxation is distributed fairly, as different classes can
bear it, we have no right to grumble at having to pay our share of the taxes.
