III Procedure
A. Preparatory Activities
1. Greet the student
2. Prayer and ask the student to listen the discussion
3. Checking the attendance
B. Motivation
1, 2, 3 GO!
Things needed:
1. Tape Measure
2. Toy car
3. Ruler
Things to do:
-Place the tape measure on the floor
- Starting from 0 you will push the first toy car with lesser force then measure its distance in cm,
then for the second try you will exert all your force then measure its distance. From that you will
describe the effects of the amount of force on the movement of an object
C. Lesson Proper
Force
- Either push and/or pull which occurs when two or more objects interact with each other.
- It causes an object to move
- It can be due to gravity, friction, magnetism or anything that might cause an object to move.
Present GIF to the pupils then they are the one who will give the meaning
Push- is a force applied in a direction away from our body.
Pull- is a force applied in a direction towards our body.
Force can change the shape of an object, while some objects return to their original shape
after the release of force and some are not.
An object that will return to its original shape after force is applied is called elasticity.
Activity
Put a check mark if the shape of an object may change and cross mark if not.
1. Breaking an egg
2. Throwing a paper clip
3. Pressing a nail
4. Rolling a ball
5. Biting an apple
Generalization
1. What happens to an object’s size and position when force is being applied?
2. Does the pupils show active engagement by participating in class?
3. How the pupils demonstrate understanding of force in activity?
IV. Evaluation
Directions: Choose the force/ forces that you can apply to change the shape of the given material.
Crumpling Cutting
1. Newspaper
2. Rubber band
3. Chalk
4. Plastic ruler
5. Sheet of paper
