Teacher’s Activity Learner’s Activity

III. Learning Procedures

A. Preparatory Activities
1. Daily Routine
a. Greetings
b. Prayer
Reynante will you please lead The learners will pray
the prayer?
The learners will do the energizer
c. Energizer
d. Checking of Attendance
(The teacher will check the attendance)

2. Drill

I prepared an activity for you.

Directions: Encircle the names of
bodies of water found
in the puzzle.

Good job Class!

3. Review
Our lesson yesterday was about the different
Class, What was our lesson yesterday? types of clouds.

Very good! If you really understood

our lesson yesterday. I prepared an
activity for you. The name of this
activity is “TELL ME Who I am” I
will describe each type of cloud then
you have to name the type of cloud I
Yes we do.
am referring to. Do you understand?

1. I am a puffy cloud that looks like a

puff of cotton. Who I am? Cumulus clouds
2. I am a cloud that looks like a
feather. Who I am?
Cirrus clouds
3. I indicate fair weather when I
scattered in a fair blue sky. Who I
am?
Cirrus clouds
4. I am a low cloud that covers most
of the sky. Who I am? Stratus
5. I am a rain cloud. Who I am?
Nimbus
Excellent! Clap your hands for

those who answered.

4. Motivation
The teacher will show the globe and
will explain the following to the class.
75% of the earth surface is filled with
water and 25% of the earth is covered
with land. Therefore, water covers a
wider area of the earth surface than
land.
Motive question
Do you think the amount of water on
earth decrease since its existence? Answer may vary

Who says no? and who says yes?

The amount of water in earth does not
change.
It remains the same. Why ? Today we
will find out.
I use water every-day in taking a bath,
5. Value Integration washing , watering the plants, laundering,
When do you use water? drinking, cooking and many more in my daily
task.

We cannot survive without water.

Water is very important.

What do we need to do to prevent we need to use water properly.

water shortage?

Very good.

B. Presentation

Did you know that there is no new

water on earth? It all gets recycled

and reused in a process that we

called the water cycle. It never

stops and doesn’t really have a

beginning or an end. It’s like a big

circle.

What is a water cycle? A water

cycle is the process by which

water moves from place to place

above, on, and below the earth

surface.

Water cycle is made up of 4

process

or stages such as Evaporation,

Transpiration, Condensation,and

Precipitation.Let us understand

each stage one by one.

Evaporation- the changing of

water into gas.

Condensation- the changing of

water vapor into water droplets.

Precipitation- water falls from

the sky in the form of rain.

Transpiration- is essentially

evaporation of water from plants.

To let you understand fully the steps

in water cycle I prepared a mnemonic
strategy using hand gestures for you
to easily remember the different stages
of the water cycle.

        Evaporation: moving hands up like

steam rising
        Condensation: moving hands
together in the shape of a puffy
"cloud”
        Precipitation: moving hands down
like rain
Transpiration: form a ring with your
arms to form a lake
Yes we do
C. Generalization
Do you understand our lesson? I learned that water cycle is the process
What have you learned today? of which water transfer from one place to
another.

How many phases are there in a

There are four phases in a water cycle The
water cycle? What are those stages?
stages of water cycle are evaporation
condensation, precipitation, and transpiration.

Evaporation- the changing of water into gas.

Explain each stage.
Condensation- the changing of water vapor
into water droplets.

Precipitation- water falls from the sky in the

form of rain.

Transpiration- is essentially evaporation of

water from plants.
Very good class !

D. Application
Directions: Identify the cycle phase describe in each sentence. Write the letter of the correct
answer on the space before the number.

Transpiration Evaporation

Condensation Precipitation

IV. Evaluation

Directions: Identify the cycle phase describe in each sentence. Write the letter of the correct
answer on the space before the number.

a. Water cycle
b. Evaporation
c. Condensation
d. Precipitation
e. Transpiration

____________1. It is the process wherein the water falls back to earth, it may go into the
oceans, lakes or rivers.

____________2. The sun heats up water in seas, rivers, lakes and oceans and turns it into
water vapor and rises up into the air.
____________3. The water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back to liquids into tiny
drops of water forming clouds.
____________4. The water moves from place to place above, on and below the earth surface.

____________ 5. The clouds get heavy and water falls back to earth in the form of rain, hail,
sleet or snow.

V. Assignment:

Make a collage of a water cycle illustrating its 4 phases.
