STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
To elucidate what comprises business analytics, it is often termed 'Data science for business'.
While that makes it easier to decipher the subject, the core still lies in the numerous calculated
efforts directed to incentivize enhanced business operations. The all-pervasive field of data
grows with each passing day and instilling a sense of order is the only way we can corroborate
growth without getting lost in this sea of numbers. Companies are collecting more than a trillion
bytes of data on a regular basis, and in order to implement this data, business analytics is the way
to go. It is only with the help of trained and experienced data analysts can this information
transform into actionable insights that can be further utilized to develop the plans needed for any
organization to endure competition. Business analytics' data-driven approach to the world of
business and the incorporation of statistics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to
develop business insights have proved revolutionary, and the mere thought of my association
with the same fills me with excitement and pride.
My appeal to business analytics originated by observing my father, a hardware entrepreneur,

clinging to only certain business practices due to the limitations imposed by his technical
qualifications. I caught up with the importance of technological acquaintance early on in my
adolescence and concluded its need to grow and amplify any business in this era of globalization.
As my interest evolved, I learnt about the significance of business analytics and its indispensable
role in today's technology-driven world. Though my graduation aided me with the absorption of
the basics of business management, I still lacked the specifics needed to prosper. To procure
strengthened knowledge of data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and such, I
intend to pursue a Master of Science degree in Business Analytics from ___ University.
During the three years of my Bachelor of Commerce degree from ___ University, my
conversance with subjects associated to management concepts, business mathematics, human
resource management, international business, and customer relationship management drove me
to realize the ubiquitous nature of data. Throughout the course of my education, I encountered
numerous opportunities that catered to introducing newer, better ways of learning and
broadening one's horizon. As an effort to prompt overall development, I enrolled in workshops
such as Field Work in Global Village, Group Discussion, and General Awareness Programme,
which dwelled on first aid and national health policies. Additionally, my enthusiasm to assist in
the management and the organization of events also led me to serve as a backbone organizer to
many art and cultural events namely the Literary Festival, an international art festival 'ART
NICHE', and an international film festival 'FILMSAAZ', amongst many more. I was the General
Convener for the Cultural Education Centre, a notable participant in the 'Spreading Global
Warming Awareness Ideas' competition, and a regarded program manager for NISA, a non-
governmental organization. These combined experiences supplemented me with a prospering
college environment and encouraged me to further utilize my education by directing it towards
my desired path. In addition to implanting the seed of business analytics in me, my college years
also offered a pathway to the responsibility and wisdom needed to have a prosperous
professional career.
My tenure as a Management Assistant Intern at ___. allowed me to implement my previous

learnings and hone my existing skills in a way that they could cultivate and thrive in a
professional environment. To ensure a smooth flow of communication in the organization, I
served as a channel between different managerial levels and ministered elementary accounting
tasks. Furthermore, I was entrusted with the responsibility of enhancing sales as well as finding
and developing marketing campaigns. My contributions to the company also included managing
the purchase and distribution of supplies and conducting thorough market research with the
motive of engaging prospective students. By planning and supervising new marketing initiatives,
I discerned the importance of database management software and how their increasing usability
has yielded new efficiency levels.
Although my journey started as an inexperienced youth with just enough ambition to sustain and
carry me forward, through persistence and hard work, I equipped myself with experience, skills,
and the devotion needed to pursue the field and seek a Master's of Science in Business Analytics.
While my graduation in commerce serves as the foundation for my pursuit, my fascination stems
from the blend of technology and business the course material caters to. After obtaining my
degree, I plan to work as a business analyst at a global firm with the aim to gain insightful work
experience, fulfill diverse work profiles and enhance the overall technical and cultural
environment of the organization. Ultimately, I intend to return to my home country and employ
my learnings to advance the community by contributing towards research and further
implementing analytics to revitalize business practices.
The presence of a substantial commercial sector and highly sophisticated technological

advancements in addition to a diverse culture and a prospering atmosphere hosted by the United
Kingdom elicit a wave of exhilaration inside me. I am motivated by the myriad of opportunities
the country comprises and am particularly thrilled to gain academic knowledge and
simultaneously learn its professional execution. Fueled with the university's stimulating
environment, I am confident that I'll be able to hone my skills better. I am looking forward to
participating in various student organizations and contribute to the rich and diverse culture at the
___ University. I believe that my cognizance about the subject and the punctilious passion
needed to progress and foster change makes me a viable candidate for your university. I want to
thank the admissions committee for giving me the opportunity to express myself through this
