Management challenges
This is related to the organisation’s lack of the know-how required to switch to BIM, in
addition to the lack of top management support and commitment in favour of adopting BIM.
Furthermore, resistance to converting to BIM is recognised as one of the most critical
management challenges. Traditionally, switching to BIM changes most of the daily processes
and procedures, which often requires changing the workflow, roles and responsibilities.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
From the above-mentioned problems, the main problems which should be look upon are
mentioned below.
Majority of the errors were found in drawing mistakes, dimensions, clashes, calculations and
time delays. So, preparing a building information model solving all those inefficiencies in
planning, designing, scheduling, estimation, execution and clash detections.
Since lack of knowledge is there in construction industry, in order to bring awareness among
the construction industry; providing a comparative analysis of every aspect throughout the
construction process to show the advantages of BIM in modern day construction world.
