Subject-Verb Agreement

I. Objectives:

At the end of a 60 minute lesson, 75% the students are expected to achieve 80% of mastery
level in:

A. Appreciate literature as a means of understanding human being and the forces he/she needs
to contend with.
B. Determine the technique and purpose of the author.
C. Use appropriate cohesive devices in expressing opinions.

II. Subject Matter

1. Topic: Cohesive Devices, Pronoun as Cohesive Devices


2. Reference: English in Perspective 8 Afro-Asian Literature Textbook (page 126), TG page 26.
3. Materials: Laptop, PowerPoint Presentation

III. Procedure

1.Motivation

Good Afternoon class. Good Afternoon Ma'am

Before we start our lesson, let’s first play a


game.

I will play a song (Photograph by Ed (The students will listen in the song)
Sheeran) then you will pick a word in the
lyrics which you think a Subject or Verb.

Anyone who can give me a word which you (Students will raise their hands)
think a subject or verb in the song?
Yes (Student’s Name)? (Student answers - Love is a Subject ma'am.

why do you think Love is a subject?

Very Good Class!

Every student who give a right answer will be


given 10 points in their activity. And 5 points
for those who participate in the activity.
