TASK 1-STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
To determine what are the effects of incest in the community of Lovely Lass Village?
TASK 2-REASON FOR THE AREA OF RESEACH
Lovely Lass Village has five hundred residents.Lovely lass has a nursery school and
also a place of worship.
According to the new oxford dictionary,incest is sexual relation between people

classed as being too closely related to marry each other.
The researcher choose this topic because incest is very prevalent in Lovely Lass
facing various families.
TASK 3-METHOD OF INVESTIGATION
The method of investigation the researcher used to conduct the research are
questionnaire in order to collect data from the survey.
The questionnaire as a tool for collecting data has a number of advantages.

These are:
 It can be done at the accessibility of the person required to have it complete.
 It is not time consuming
 It is confidential
TASK 4-INSTRUMENT USED TO COLLECT DATA
Dear villagers
I am a student of Rosignol Secondary, I have prepared a survey which is
being carried out in the community,to find out the cause and effect of incest within the
area.This survey undertaking is being conducted as an assignment for my social-
studies SBA that I’m currently .I have decided to use a questionnaire which requires
no personal information from villagers you advise to answer the following questions
honestly,since you are not required to write any names anywhere,no one will ever
know what your answer are,there are no wrong or right answers.All of the questions
can be answered by a simple tick in the box.

TASK 5-PROCEDURE USED TO COLLECT DATA
The community of Lovely Lass Village has about 150 houses estimated but only 30
questionnaire were required for the research.The researcher chose households
randomly to carry out the survey.The researcher distributed to 30 different household
in Lovely Lass Village.The questionnaire were distributed on the 1st November 2021
and the questionnaire were collected on the 5th November 2021.
TASK 6-PRESENTATION OF DATA
The researcher used the following graphs to represent the data collected from the
survey.

As it is shown on the chart above of 30 respondents,50% of the respondent said

influence of porn are the cause of influential factors that lead to incest,16.6% of the
respondent said mental illness is the influential factor that lead to incest,20% said
poor family boundaries are the cause of influential factors that lead to incest and
13.3% said the cause of influential factors that lead to incest.

As it is shown on the chart above out of 30 respondents, 40% of

respondents said uncle-niece is the most common incest, 14%
of the respondent said brother-sister is the most common
incest, 25% of the respondent said father-daughter is the most
common incest, 13% of the respondent said mother-son and
8% of respondent said aunt-nephew is the most common
incest.
