INTRODUCTION:-

 THE INTERNATIONAL STYLE IS THE NAME OF A MAJOR


ARCHITECTURAL STYLE THAT EMERGED IN 1920s TO 1930s.
 IT WAS FIRST DEFINED BY OF MODERN ARCHITECTURE HENRY
RUSSEL HITCHCOCK AND PHILIP JOHNSON IN 1932, BASED ON
WORKS OF ARCHITECTURE FROM 1920s.
 IT WAS CLOSELY RELATED TO MODERNISM OR MODERN
ARCHITECTURE.
 IT IS A STYLE IN ARCHITECTURE WHICH USES MODERN
MATERIALS (STEEL , GLASS AND REINFORCED CONCRETE ) ,
EXPRESSES STRUCTURE DIRECTLY ,AND ELIMINATES NON
STRUCTURAL ORNAMENT.

• FREE OF EXTENAL ORNAMENTS THE BUILDING IS MADE UP OF MOST LUXURIOUS
MATERIALS. WALLS WERE FASHIONED OF THIN PLATES OF LUMINOUS SEMI
PRECIOUS STONE FROM GREEN POLISHED MARBLE TO GOLDEN ONYX.
• THEY DIDN’T PHISYCALLY LIMIT SPACE.
• MATERIALS : GLASS , STEEL AND 4 TYPES OF MARBLES .

AREA WITH LARGE TREES IN SOUTH FAÇADE.
• IT IS CHARACTERISED BY THE INDUSTRIAL AESTHETICS OF SIMPLICITY CLEARLY
STATED IN THEIR STEEL FRAMES.

• THE INTERIOR PLAZA BUILDING , THE STONE FACED FAÇADE AND DISTINCTIVE
GLASS AND BRONZE EXTERIOR WERE DESIGNED BY LUDWIG MIES VAN DER
ROHE.
• IT IS 160 M TALL SKYSCRAPER.
