COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARENESS VIA SOCIAL MEDIA

community-based learning, for social improvement. (A3, PLO11)

INSTRUCTION
PART 1 – AWARENESS VIA SOCIAL MEDIA (20%)
1. Each group is required to create a public awareness video & posting based on
any area/categories of community service.
2. The awareness should be delivered via both method; video, and series of
Instagram posting. (# - specified hashtag)
3. Title for social media campaign
 Drug Awareness

4. Submission of Project: WEEK 8, during class time - lecturer can have a


sharing session with the students where students will share their social
media posting.
5. Mode: GROUP: 5-7 students in ONE group. (depending on the class size, could
be the same group with assignment)

Requirements include:
a. Maximum of 3 minutes movie time (1-3 minutes).
b. Good quality (visual and auditory)
c. Project must possess a cover page (for softcopy submission – the video should
be submitted to the subject lecturer through email/GC/email/GC/another platform
as well as hardcopy (CD).
d. Students also will UPLOAD the video in social media. (the lecturer and students
will decide which social media platform)
e. List of valid references.

GENERAL GUIDELINE/SUGGESTION FOR THE VIDEO

Introduction/Scene 1: Your slogan/ Your main objective/Background of the project.

issues.
Scene 3: Confrontation Show and tell: (Emotional) story behind the
problems/conflicts/issues (up to 3 situations).
Scene 4: Climax: Push story or problems towards many possible
outcomes/consequences.
Scene 5: Resolution/Decision/Suggestion: Present solution e.g. goal of your team/
suggestion/s.
Scene 6: Solution End with: Slogan/ call to action/ your logo, motto & short message.

PART 2 (10%)
GROUP REPORT
 Each group will prepare a report based on the project done. (due: 1 week
after project)
 WRITE A REPORT which includes the following:
1. Name of project, social media platform – why you chose the area.
2. Team members (organizational chart, roles, and responsibilities of each
member)
3. Introduction (What the project is about?)
4. Objective(s) of the project – the significance
5. Body of report

b. The screenshot of the video with captions
c. How this project is beneficial impactful to the community.
d. Limitations
6. Conclusion
7. Appendix (pictures, handouts, receipts etc.)
 Report will be evaluated based on the rubric attached.
