TEXT LOCALIZATION USING DISCRETE WAVELET TRANSFORMS

Abstract:

Text provides important information about images or video sequences in a documented image,
but it always remains difficult to modify the static documented image. To carry out modification
in any of the text matter the text must be segmented out from the documented image, which can
be used for further analysis. Taking consideration to video image sequence the isolation of text
data from the isolated frame becomes more difficult due to its variable nature.

2. SOLAR TRACKING

This is a power generating method from sunlight. This method of power generation is simple and
is taken from natural resource. This need only maximum sunlight to generate power. This project
helps for power generation by setting the equipment to get maximum sunlight automatically.

IMAGE RETRIEVAL USING BOTH COLOR AND TEXTURE FEATURES FOR WEB
APPLICATIONS

Content based image retrieval (CBIR) refers to the ability to retrieve images on the basis of
image content. Given a query image, the goal of a CBIR system is to search the database and
return the n most visually similar images to the query image. In our project, we describe an
approach to CBIR for medical databases that relies on human input machine learning and
computer vision.

This project describes how data is transmitted between a PC and a micro controller .The
controller used in this project is AT89C52 belonging to the family of 8051 series .The 8051 has
an inbuilt UART(universal asynchronous receiver transmitter) chip for serial communication.

4. REDUCTION OF AUTOCORRELATION SIDELOBES BY USING


OVERLAYING TECHNIQUES

Pulse compression allows radar to utilize a long pulse to achieve large radiated energy, but
simultaneously to obtain the range resolution of a short pulse.

Basically, there are two types of pulse compression techniques. They are:

1. Phase modulation (e.g.: Barker sequence, etc,)

2. Frequency modulation (e.g.: LFM, Costas arrays, Modified LFM)

CENTRIC APPROACH

Electrocardiogram (ECG) provides detail condition of the heart of a cardiac patient. ECG also
contains some features, which can serve as a biometric entity for

identification of a particular patient. Therefore, when ECG is transmitted for remote telehealth
application, it is susceptible to patient’s privacy.

LIVE PERSON DETECTION ROBOT

Data acquisition is the process of gathering signals from the measurement sources and digitizing
those signals for storage and analysis. The data of the real world are translated into signals that
can be manipulated by the computer. A Data acquisition system comprises of signal source,
signal connection, signal conditioning and signal measurement. Signal source is a transducer to
measure physical phenomena. Signal conditioning is the process of amplification, filtering and
isolation.

LANDMINE DETECTION USING AT89C51

The country is still struggling with terrorism. Terrorists claim the lives of the humanity and the
brave soldiers in particular fighting at the frontiers of the country. Our project work was done on
the lines of how to avoid the menace caused by Land Mines used by the Terrorists, which is
nothing but Land Mine Sweeper Robo.

FIRE MONITORING SYSTEM

This project “Fire Monitor System” is used to monitor the Temperature of two Rooms and if the
sensor found any fire in the Room then the alarm will be switched ON until the Fire is put off
else the Reset button is pressed. The Fire was sensed by using the Fire Sensor. The Fire Sensor is
a passive device which has a Negative Temperature

Co-efficient (NTC), i.e. when the temperature increases then the resistance of the Fire Sensor
will decrease.

MEMORY BUILT-IN SELF REPAIR FOR SRAM

Memories are one of the most universal cores. On average embedded RAMs occupy 90% area in
system-on-chip (SOC), so embedded memory test design has become an essential part of the
SOC development infrastructure. In this project I implemented reusable memory built in self test
(MBIST) engine for memory test, which also gives useful information for fault diagnosis.

AN INTERNET BASED INTERACTIVE EMBEDDED DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM


FOR HOME APPLIANCES

The proposed project An internet based interactive embedded data acquisition system for home
appliances eliminates the need for a product consumer to monitor his appliances and repair it
with a half knowledge or finding time to consult a concerned service engineer personally in his
busy schedule, when a problem is encountered. Instead our project presents a better solution in
detecting and reporting the encountered problem in the device to the respective engineer without
the consumer actually getting involved in it.

truck), other vehicles (e.g., moped, bicycle) and pedestrian. Some jurisdictions may have very
detailed and complex rules of the road.

Principal component analysis (PCA) has been proven to be an efficient method in pattern
recognition and image analysis. Recently, PCA has been extensively employed for face

The main objective of this project is to detect the radar signal of a moving target using real time
DSP (TMS320C50). The features of TMS320C50 DSK are 50ns instruction cycle time, 32K-
byte PROM, Standard RCA connector that provide direct interfacing for analog input to A/D
converter.

ROBOT DIRECTION CONTROLLING USING RF COMMUNICATION

A system designed to record and report on discrete activities within a process is called as
Tracking System. In the same procedure we have developed a methodology of robot direction
system for robotics to control and achieve accurate direction for a class of non-linear systems in
the presence of disturbances and parameter variations by using wireless communication
technique.

17.VGA CONTROLLER

The Video Graphics Array (VGA) Controller provides a simple, interface between a host
processor and any VGA-compatible monitor.

Taking a processor-generated picture (pixilated) from memory space, the Controller provides
digital RGB values for each pixel, as well as horizontal and vertical synchronization signals,
these synchronization signals used as control inputs by the monitor’s vertical and horizontal
deflection circuits, these circuits deflect the electrons emitted by the three primary electron guns
(Red, Green, Blue) left to right and from top to bottom, respectively, in order to correctly
display the picture on a connected monitor.

18. KEEP DISTANCE WARNING SYSTEM

The project work keep distance warning system is designed for automobiles. Any vehicle
ranging from motor cycle to heavy duty truck can adopt this system. The main purpose of this
system is to alert the vehicle whenever it comes very close to the ahead vehicle & thereby to
some extent accidents can be avoided. Many accidents at High-ways are taking place due to the
close running of vehicles, all of sudden, if the in front vehicle driver reduces the speed or applied
breaks, then it is quite difficult to the following vehicle driver to control his vehicle, resulting in
an accident. To avoid this kind of accident, the warning system, which contains buzzer and
display system can be arranged at rear side of each and every vehicle.

19. Main project:

DENOISING ONE DIMENSIONAL SIGNAL USING DISCRETE

Recently the Wavelet Transform has gained a lot of popularity in the field of signal

processing. This is due to its capability of providing both time and frequency information

simultaneously, hence giving a time-frequency representation of the signal. The traditional


Fourier Transform can only provide spectral information about a signal. Moreover, the Fourier
method only works for stationary signals. In many real world applications, the signals are non-
stationary. One solution for processing non-stationary signals is the Wavelet
Transform.Currently there is tremendous focus on the application of Wavelet Transform for real
time signal processing like De-noising and Compression.

Now-a-days everything in this world is getting wireless. Infrared rays’ transmission is one of the
most important ways of wireless communication. An infrared transmission/reception apparatus
and a method thereof in which an infrared transmission output is changed to transmit a plurality
of station finding commands, and an infrared transmission output for such a station finding
command out of the plurality of station finding commands as returning a station finding response
from a secondary station is used to perform a subsequent communication.

A ROBUST ALGORITHM FOR SHADOW REMOVAL OF FOREGROUND


DETECTION IN VIDEO SURVEILLANCE

Detecting moving objects in video sequences is very important in visual surveillance. When the
video images are captured with a fixed camera, background subtraction is a commonly used
technique to segment moving objects. The foreground objects are identified if they differ
significantly from the background. However, the detecting results of moving objects are usually
under the influence of cast shadows.

22. RS 485 PROTOCOL BASED DC MOTOR SPEED CONTROL

A control system is a device or set of devices to manage, command, direct or regulate the
behavior of other devices or systems.

This project focuses on the benefits of using RS-485 signaling for motor control and motion
control applications using PWM. This technology has several benefits for these applications in
terms of noise immunity, wide common-mode voltage range, adequate data rate, and multipoint
capability. Other applications also use RS-485 signaling to take advantage of these same
benefits.

APPLICATION OF 3-AXIS ACCELEROMETER IN HUMAN COMPUTER MOUSE


INTERFACE

The object of this project is to present a set of techniques integrated into low-cost human
computer interfaces. Although the interfaces have many potential applications, one main
application is to help the disabled persons to attain or regain some degree of independent
communications and control. The interface is an accelerometer-based mouse for paralyzed users.

DESIGN AND SIMULATION OF UART USING VHDL

The UART (universal asynchronous receiver and transmitter) module provides asynchronous
serial communication with external devices such as modems and other computers The UART
can be used to control the process of breaking parallel data from the PC down into serial data that
can be transmitted and vice versa for receiving data. The UART allows the devices to
communicate without the need to be synchronized.

DEVELOPMENT OF SERIAL UART FROM MINI USB

Every PC comes already with atleast one serial port and a parallel port to connect devices such as
modems, mice, printers, etc. to your computer. The disadvantages of those two are speed as well
as expandability: The serial port can only transfer one bit of data at a time, it transfers data as a
series of bits, hence the name. The parallel port can only transfer 8 bits of data at a time.

widespread acceptance as a key part of virtual reality systems, adding the sense of

touch to previously visual only solutions. Most of these solutions use stylus based

Haptic rendering, where the user interfaces to the virtual world via a tool or stylus,giving a form
of interaction that is computationally realistic on today’s hardware.

the image retrieval problem, that is, the problem of searching for digital images in large

COMPUTING OPTIMAL PATH USING DSR AND NFPQR PROTOCOLS IN AD-HOC


NETWORKS

Most previous work on real-time event-based communication has assumed infrastructure-based


networks. An Ad-Hoc network is a (possibly mobile) collection of communications devices
(nodes) that wish to communicate, but have no fixed infrastructure available, and have no
predetermined organization of available links. Individual nodes are responsible for dynamically
discovering which other nodes they can directly communicate with. Ad-Hoc networks can be
built around any wireless technology, including infrared and radio frequency (RF).

Currently, street lights are controlled by photocells. These have only one function, which is
switching lights on and off according to factory-fixed, light-level thresholds. In this project all

A COMPACT AES ENCRYPTION CORE ON XILINX FPGA

This paper an advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption core on Field Programmable
Gate Array (FPGA) the target device is Spartan-3 FPGA. We have designed an efficient and
compact, iterative architecture with input and key, both of 128 bits. The throughput achieved is
2640.3712 Mbps with a frequency of 206.28 MHz using 8 embedded block RAMs (BRAMs) and
390 slices. The aim is to provide a fast encryption core for small size and low cost applications.

Security is a prime concern in our day-today life. Everyone wants to be as much secure as
possible. An access control for doors forms a vital link in a security chain. The Microcontroller
based Home Security System can be adopted at Home it has various type of Sensors. In our
Project we have IR sensors, PIR sensors, Fire sensors. The system is fully controlled by the 8 bit
microcontroller AT89S52 which has an 8Kbytes of ROM for the program memory.

WIRELESS SPY ROBOT WITH OBJECT DETECTION

The project is basically used to detect an object by using a wireless robot with a night vision
camera. This project uses a RF AV camera as a image sensing device. The video from camera is
taken by the pc via TV tuner card. The AV camera can be converted which is converted into an
IR camera by removing the IR filter, which has a wide range of applications such as detecting the
object in darkness with the help of IR illumination.

Touch Screen and Zigbee based wireless communication assistant in Airlines

The main aim of this project is to construct a user friendly multi-language communication
system for illiterate/dumb people traveling by Airlines. As we have different languages in our
world and its impossible for us to know all the languages. So, in this project we are building a
device that helps them in expressing their needs with other language people (Air hostess) i.e.
request them if we need any thing in the flight like coffee, tea, drinks etc.

The main aim of the project is design and implements an intelligent traffic signal system. As this
developed system is able to sense the presence or absence of vehicle with in certain range by

DESIGN OF LOW RANGE SIDELOBE PULSE COMPRESSION WAVEFORMS USING


NLFM TECHNIQUE

One of the important technologies in the pulsed radar is the pulse compression by means of chirp
signals. This technology simultaneously satisfies the contradicting requirements of increased
search distance, or the increase of the average transmission power, and of range resolution.
However, the waveform after pulse compression has a range sidelobe in the range direction and a
small object existing near an object with a large radar cross section is hidden in the range
sidelobe so that its detection becomes difficult.

INDUSTRIAL FIRST FAULT MONITORING USING ASK-RF TECHNOLOGY


The System mainly uses Current transformer and Potential transformer to sense the current,
voltage to the industrial loads. The current and voltage values sensed are compared with the
maximum ratings of the Load. In case of any fault there will obvious increase in current and
voltage which will be monitored.

DIGITAL CALENDER

This Project Displaying data on LCD using Personal Computer through Microcontroller via
MAX232 IC, which displays the data that is typed on the key board over the LCD display. It has
an 8 bit Microcontroller which runs on the Program embedded on its ROM.

35. Construction of Costas arrays

To improve the range resolution of the radar while maintaining good signal-to-noise ratio, it is
necessary to decrease the pulse width and to increase the peak power. There are cases where the
peak power cannot be increased. Therefore, there is an unwanted and undesirable constraint
between range and resolution. The pulse compression technique has been investigated as remedy
in such cases. However, unnecessary side lobes are present before and after the compressed pulse
and their have been efforts to reduce the side lobes.

CDMA-BASED MAC protocol for wireless Ad Hoc Networks

We propose a CDMA based power controlled medium access protocol for mobile ad hoc
networks (MANETs).Unlike previously proposed protocols ,ours accounts for the multiple
access interference(MAI), thereby addressing the notorious near –far problem that undermines
the throughput performance in MANETs. Channel gain information obtained from overheard
RTS and CTS packets over an out of band control channel is used to dynamically bind the
transmission power of mobile terminals in the vicinity of a receiver.

TWO DIMENSIONAL ELEVATORS


My proposal is to design and build an elevator system that will not only go up and down but also
go left and right. The controls will be PLC based and the elevator will be moved by two motor
and cable systems. This type of elevator would be useful in areas where security is a
consideration, as well as introducing more architectural possibilities.

AUTOMATIC RAILWAY GATE CONTROLLING AND SIGNALLING

The railway gate is to be controlled so that the road traffic is to be predicted .The railway gate is
to be closed when a train is passing by the way. The opening and closing of the gate is to be done
using stepper motors and this stepper motor is controlled by micro controller. The signaling of
the train is also controlled depending upon the gate position. Only when gate is closed the green
signal is otherwise red signal. So in this project the railway signaling includes the gate control is
done using microcontroller. The automatic opening and closing of the gate and also the signaling
which depending on the gate position that will be controlled by the microcontroller.
