Assignment
You can submit any digital content (files), such as word-processed
documents, spreadsheets, images, or audio and video clips in this
activity format. Alternatively, the assignment may require you to type
directly into the text editor to submit a course requirement.
Attendance
Attendance in ePNU can be checked in this activity and you can also
view your attendance record. A teacher can mark the attendance
status as "Present," "Absent," "Late," or "Excused .“
Chat
This form of activity enables you to have text-based and real-time
synchronous discussions with the members of your virtual class.
Choice
Choice is a form of activity where you will answer a single question
by selecting an answer from several possible responses.
Database
This activity allows you to create, maintain, and search a collection of
entries. This includes several field types such as checkbox, radio
buttons, drop-down menu, text area, URL, picture, and uploaded file.
External tool
This tool enables you to interact with learning resources and activities
on other websites.
Feedback
It is an activity which allows you to answer a custom survey in order to
collect feedback.
Forum
Forum activity enables you to have asynchronous discussions with the
members of the virtual class.
Glossary
This online activity provides an opportunity for you to create and
maintain a list of definitions, like a dictionary, or select and organize
resources or information.
Lesson
This activity is used by your teacher to deliver content and/or
practice activities in interesting and flexible ways.
Quiz
This is a quiz-type activity which usually comprises of questions of
various types, including multiple choice, matching, short-answer,
and numerical response.
Survey
It is a survey-type activity but using a verified survey instrument that
has been found useful in assessing and stimulating learning in an
online environment.
Turnltln Assignment
This activity uses a matching algorithm that checks the originality of
students' work. If an assignment is in an essay format, then it is
linked to your teacher's Turnltln's account, and thus, your
submission can be analyzed its similarity index and graded using
the assessment tools available within Turnltln's Document Viewer.
Wiki
This type of activity enables you to add or edit a collection of web
pages. A wiki can be collaborative, with everyone being able to edit,
or individual, where everyone has his own wiki which only him
can edit.
Workshop
A workshop enables the collection, review, and peer assessment of
students' work. You can submit digital content (files), such as word-
processed documents or spreadsheets.
Book
This is usually a multi-page resource in a book-like format, with
chapters and subchapters. Depending on your teacher, it can
contain media files as well as text, which are sometimes broken
down into sections.
File
This icon indicates that your teacher provided a file as a course
resource. Where possible, the file will be displayed within the course
interface; otherwise, you will be prompted to download it. The file
may include supporting files, for instance, an HTML page may have
embedded images.
Folder
A folder contains a number of related files, thus reducing scrolling
on the course page.
Label
A label includes text and multimedia to be inserted into the course
page in between links to other resources and activities.
Page
A page is a web page resource created by your teacher to deliver
course content. It can contain text, images, sound, video, web links,
and embedded code.
URL
This contains a link provided by your teacher that will direct you to a
web page that contains the resource that your teacher wants you to
view.
