Univadine: TOP Leveling Agent
Univadine: TOP Leveling Agent
Univadine: TOP Leveling Agent
USES
Dyeing polyester fibers and polyester/cellulose blends at all stages of processing in HT processes
on jets and circulating liquor machines.
Dyeing of yarn and pieces for automotive textiles, together with UV-FAST APS or UV-FAST HLF as
light fastness improver.
Dyeing polyester/cellulose blends in one-bath-two-steps method.
Dyeing of polyester in HT rapid dyeing methods.
Dyeing polyester fibers at all stages of processing with high density.
Characteristics Benefits
• Good migration properties. • Hence both fiber and surface levelness, ensures
uniform shade build-up.

APPLICATIONS
Dissolving/diluting
UNIVADINE TOP leveling agent is readily diluted with cold or warm water and forms colorless clear
solutions.
Required amount
The required amount will differ according to application routine and textile but will lie within the
bandwidth given below. Preliminary trials should be carried out.
®
0.5–2.0 g/l UNIVADINE TOP
NOTES
For dyeing polyester at high temperatures, 0.5–1.0 g/l UNIVADINE TOP leveling agent is usually
enough.
An excellent fiber and surface levelness improver, UNIVADINE TOP leveling agent is suitable for all
polyester HT dyeing methods, and overcomes the problems associated with high wind density
packages, tightly woven piece-goods or hard-t o-level dyes.
With extremely rapid rates of heating, very short liquor ratios and deep shades, a diffusion
accelerant such as UNIVADINE DIF should also be present in the bath. A combination of

markedly promotes penetration and diffusion. Treatment with higher amounts of these two products
is an excellent way to correct unlevel dyeing.
If polyester/cellulosic and polyester/wool blends are dyed in presence of UNIVADINE TOP leveling
agent, the non-polyester component is largely protected against staining by the disperse dyes.
