Service Bulletin: Changes at The Fuser Section To Prevent Damage
In rare cases the fuser unit or even the machine itself may become damaged, depending on the condition of the
main and sub-heater, after replacing these parts during maintenance.
1. Please do not replace the parts mentioned in the table below individually (Including the main and sub heater)
instead replace the fuser unit or the heat roller unit.
2. The parts A to I will therefore no longer be supplied as individual parts.
3. The parts J to N will still be supplied as individual parts, since they are also used in other models.
4. The heat roller unit has been registered as the following service part:
Parts, fuser right 230 assy SP (Including the main and sub heater)
5. The fuser heater terminals should be able to move between 0.1mm and 0.3mm vertically.
6. The screws of the fuser heater terminals should be properly secured, to ensure that the heater terminals and the
conductive plates can not move horizontally.

The following parts may be replaced individually, since the main heater and sub heater are not included:
Please note the following before checking the status of the fuser heater terminals and the screws:
(The following checking points should especially be performed, when the heat roller, main heater and/or sub heater
have been replaced in the past.)
Use a flat head screw driver to check the vertical movement between the fuser heater terminals and the gap of the fuser housing. The
vertical movement range should be between 0.1mm and 0.3mm. If the terminals can not be moved, this will be considered as a fault and
the fuser unit should be replaced.

Check if the screws of the fuser heater terminals are properly secured The heater terminal and conductive
from all sides of the screws. (Do not rotate the screws and prevent plates may move horizontally, when
contact with the heater bulb.) the screws are not secured properly.
