Pastor: Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say, Rejoice!
All: Today we choose to rejoice. Today we choose to worship
and give thanks.
Pastor: Turn your hearts away from the distractions and disappointments
of life that will flow in and flow out like the tide. Set your affections on
things above and worship the Lord who loves you and cares for you.
All: We come to worship God who alone is excellent and worthy of praise.

CALL TO PRAYER
The Spirit of the Lord fills the world and knows our every word and deed.
Let us then open ourselves up to the Lord and go to him in penitence and faith,
as we pray together.
CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER
Gracious Lord and God, we know that we will remain less than the whole persons you
have called us to be in Christ Jesus until we acknowledge our sins to you. We confess
that we have tried to run away and hide from you. We constantly deceive ourselves into
thinking that we can live without you. We have made idols of our own achievements.
We have treated other persons as though they did not bear your image. We have failed
to enfold and include all persons within the outstretched and open arms of Jesus Christ,
our Savior. And we have left undone those deeds of loving kindness and godly justice
that you want us to pursue in your name. Bring your Spirit upon us in a gracious,
healing way. Make us agents of reconciliation as we live within your holy presence.
Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT
Prior to the pandemic, the CARES team did most ministry face to face. This has not been possible for the
last seven months but the team was able to quickly adapt in new ways to maintain contact with care
recipients. The CARES team is making more than 100 calls and sending more than 100 written
correspondences on behalf of Central each month. What a blessing this has been for everyone involved!
Thank you for your continued support that allows this ministry to continue.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
We are so glad that you have chosen to be with us this morning. We are mindful during this pandemic just
how special worshipping together is. In our effort to keep everyone as safe as possible, we are asking that
everyone adhere to the following directives while in the sanctuary.
1. Masks must be worn over your nose and mouth at all times.
2. Everyone is encouraged to partipate fully in the worship service, including the singing of the
hymns and responses, and the spoken liturgy. Masks must be on.
3. Please refrain from physical contact with others, outside of your family groups.
No handshaking, embracing, or touching.
4. Please remain seated and enjoy the closing voluntary. An usher will indicate when your row may
depart afterwards. You will leave via the window aisles, and exit through the north vestibule
doors.
5. We ask that you take everything with you when you leave.
