2.3. LANDINGS
Due to conditions of the relevant RWY, Pilots should adjust their landings in a
way to make them use of the high speed taxi route turn-offs as stated in the table
below so as not to occupy the RWY more than required.
3.2. DE-ICING
3.2.1. GENERAL
De-icing can be handled at the park area; however, in case anti-icing has been
started at the designated areas, de-icing in the parking area shall not be
permitted.
3.2.2. ANTI-ICING AREAS
3.2.2.1. CAT I CONDITIONS ANTI-ICING APPLICATION AREAS
If RWY 05 is used for take-off:
F (E3 intersection), F1, F2, F3 and F4 TWYs are anti-icing application areas. As a
line-up area for CAT I anti-icing application, TWY F shall be used. In case the
ground traffic permits, TWY D may be used as a line-up area as well. If needed,
TWYs F3 and F4 (apron L) shall be used as alternate anti-icing application areas
for A330-300 type ACFT on L1, L2 and L3 parking positions.
3.2.2.2. CAT II/III CONDITIONS ANTI-ICING APPLICATION AREAS
If RWY 05 is used for landing:

HS3 TWYs G and F are converging. There is a risk of wing contact in case of having traffic
in the same time in this area.
HS6 Parking areas 201-205 are converging on the side of the centerline of TWY D because of
their bearings. There is a risk of wing contact in case of having traffic using these
parking areas in the same time.
HS7 Since parking and ground movement of ACFT in front of maintenance hangar can not be
controlled by the bounded lines ACFT entering maintenance hangar via TWYs J, J1, J2,
J3 have risk to cross/crash with ACFT in parking positions or land vehicles on
maintenance apron.
HS8 The portion through the RWY threshold of TWYs B1 and B2 are converging. There is a risk
of wing contact in case of having traffic in the same time in this area.
HS9 Because of the hangars, the sight is limited for crossing through the West side of
the General Aviation Hangars. Due to different usage purposes there are no centerline
markings so there is a risk of contact with both hangars and other traffic.

As early as practicable turn LEFT and intercept R-090 IST climbing to 3000' with MAX bank
to avoid penetration of RWY 17L/R departure path. Contact Approach. Terrain clearance up to
2000' and avoidance of departure path and other traffic in the vicinty shall be under the
responsibility of Pilot in Command. If unable to contact Approach until passing D12.0/R-090 IST,
turn LEFT on hdg 054^. Intercept R-078 IST. After D26.0 IST climb to 4000' proceed GAYEM and hold.
If pilots cleared to perform ILS DME B RWY 23 or LOC (GS out) RWY 23 proc cannot perform balked
landing missed approach inform ATC on Approach and Istanbul TWR, by phrase Unable Balked Landing,
at least before starting the approach. In this case, ATC guiding the traffic to safer point and takes
