First of all, they provide vital ecological services. They clean up. They are our natural
garbage collectors. They clean up carcasses right to the bone. They help to kill all the
bacteria. They help absorb anthrax that would otherwise spread and cause huge
livestock losses and diseases in other animals.

Nowadays, it is very important to take care of animals because of they are endangered or
extinction.

3. Look at the following list about ENDANGERED ANIMALS on WWF organization and
choose one of them to socialize.
https://www.worldwildlife.org/species/directory?direction=desc&sort=extinction_status

4. When you have your endangered animal, make a presentation in power point about it
showing:
The green turtle
Characteristics

Common Name: Green Sea Turtle

Scientific Name: Chelonia mydas
Type: Reptiles
Diet: Herbivore
Group Name: Bale
Average Life Span In The Wild: 80 or more years
Size: Up to 5 feet
Weight: Up to 700 pound

The green turtle is one of the largest sea turtles and the only herbivore among the different
species. Green turtles are in fact named for the greenish color of their cartilage and fat,
not their shells. In the Eastern Pacific, a group of green turtles that have darker shells are
called black turtles by the local community. Green turtles are found mainly in tropical and
subtropical waters. Like other sea turtles, they migrate long distances between feeding
grounds and the beaches from where they hatched.

Reasons for endangered

The Green turtles are threatened by overharvesting of their eggs, hunting of adults,
being caught in fishing gear and loss of nesting beach sites.

Why do you choose it?

Because the green turtle is one of my favorite animal in the world. It is a beautiful and
tender animal.

5. In power point presentation, you should record your voice talking about animal.
