    Folkart Towers are twin skyscrapers in the Bayraklı district of the Turkish city of İzmir.
    Reaching a structural height of 656 feet above ground level, they are the tallest
    buildings in İzmir and, upon their completion, they were the 5th tallest twin towers in
    Europe

    2+U, a lifted, 38-story office tower in the heart of Seattle’s urban core. The
    building offers 665,000 square feet of office space lifted to 85 feet, revealing a
    24,000 square-foot outdoor urban village that includes arts and entertainment
    spaces, restaurants and retail.

    Location: San Francisco, CA

    181 Fremont is an 802-foot mixed-use skyscraper under
    construction in the South of Market District of San
    Francisco, California. Upon completion, the tower will be
    the tallest mixed-use building in San Francisco, surpassing
    the nearby Millennium Tower, and the tallest in the
    Western United States. This project incorporated standard
    BRBs, in conjunction to ones designed to act as fuses in the
    mega-brace system.

    Recent High-Rise Projects
    LA Live
    Location: Los Angeles, CA
    BRB Quantity: 11
    Avg Capacity: 2200 kips
    Rising 650 feet above downtown Los Angeles, the LA Live Hotel and Residential
    Tower, comprises 1.2 million sq. ft. of floor space, part of a mega mixed-use
    entertainment complex. The BRBs were used as fuse elements to control the
    maximum forces that the outrigger trusses can impose upon the surrounding
    structure.

    Mistral Izmir Tower


    Location: İzmir, Turkey

    Core Area: 55 in2
    Mistral Office Tower is a 48-story skyscraper in Izmir, Aegean Region, Turkey. The total
    construction area of the multi-use complex is 1.3 million sq.ft and stands 708 feet tall. The
    special outrigger system used on the technical floors of both lifts is another important measure
    taken for earthquake and wind load resistance.

    Taichung Condo Tower


    Location: Taichung, Taiwan

    The 538-foot, 47-story-tall, skyscraper is a 110-unit upscale apartment building
    located in the center of Taichung. The BRBs are an integral part of the seismic lateral
    force resisting system.

    Recent High-Rise Projects
    Viridian Towers
    Location: Manila, Philippines
    BRB Quantity: 8

    Avg Capacity: 3500 kips
    Viridian in Greenhills is a 53 story luxury residential condominium tower located in the
    Manila Metropolitan Area, Philippines. It includes 49 residential floors, 5 basement
    parking levels, 2 retail levels, an Amenity floor, Sky Gardens, 6 elevators. The BRBs
    were used in the Outrigger system connecting the building’s concrete core to the
    outer frames.

    One Rincon Hill


    Location: San Francisco, CA
    BRB Quantity: 8

    The taller tower, One Rincon Hill South Tower, was completed in 2008 and
    stands 60 stories and 641 feet tall. The shorter tower, marketed as Tower
    Two at One Rincon Hill, was completed in 2014 and reaches a height of
    541 feet with 50 stories. The concrete core is attached to the outrigger
    columns by diagonal, steel buckling-restrained braces which are designed
    to dissipate energy during an earthquake through controlled hysteretic
    behavior. Also of note is the controlled-rocking system which features
    vertical post-tensioning which runs the height of the building through
    ducts within the reinforced-concrete shear-wall core. Many of these
    technologies used in the One Rincon Hill South Tower have never before
    been applied in the United States.
