Technology Standard Addressed: 5c. Break problems into component parts, extract key information, and
develop descriptive models to understand complex systems or facilitate problem-solving.
Students will present their presentations the following class period. They will present their problem and give
the class time to individually solve their equation. The presenting group will then precede to the rest of the
presentation and show how they solved the problem. We were chat as a class after all presentations about
any discoveries we made, and end with a Ticket Out the Door.
Reflective Practice:
This activity engages students by keeping the UDL principle of multiple means of expression in mind. Students
can collaborate and get creative while practicing the material. To further extend this lesson, I could use the
TOTD to differentiate the next class periods activity.
