Project:
Binary Coded Decimal (BCD) Numbers Adder

Components:
4-Bit DIP Switches
Resistors
Seven Segments (Common Anode)
7447 Decoder IC
74283 (4-bit) adder
LEDs
Battery

Overview:
BCD is a 4 bit code. To add two BCD numbers we have design a circuit. The input of two BCD
numbers is given to the circuit with the help of two DIP switches. These input numbers will
display on corresponding 7-segments in decimal form and also the connected LEDs will show
their binary value (i-e LED on means 1 and LED off means zero). These numbers are added
through 74283 (4-bit) adder IC and will display on corresponding 7-segment (in decimal
form). The sum of numbers will also show in binary form with the help of LEDs connected with
output (i-e LED on means 1 and LED off means zero).
