This movie was bit of a disappointment because I liked the first movie, but this sequel was a radical change. I knew beforehand that the movie had bad reviews and ratings and I can see why because the musical aspect of it was not something most people like me wanted to see. I didn't mind the musical stuff at the beginning, but I thought it was going to annoying if they carried on throughout the movie and it did. The writers and producers were trying to be clever with this movie, but they should've known most people weren't going to like it as most of them were fans of the first movie, so making it a musical wasn't going to go down well. If they had removed all the musical stuff it still probably wouldn't have been received well because the plot was nothing special, but it definitely wouldn't have flopped in the box office as hard as it did.
I knew before watching the movie that it had mixed reviews, but still decided to watch it because I had seen the first movie which I liked and the second movie which I thought was average. Unfortunately just like the second movie I felt this was average as well which I expected to be honest. The plot felt like not much thought had been put in it and felt it was made to accommodate the action scenes which it was relying on to carry the movie. To be honest the action scenes were decent, but you need a good story along with it. We need less movies, especially superhero movies because it's getting boring now and there's no originality in them anymore due to the amount of them Hollywood keeps pumping out.
I wasn't crazy about the first two Deadpool movies, I thought they were decent and that's the same case for this movie. The plot was just your standard Marvel movie plot I guess, however the humour is what made the movie easier and less boring to watch for me similarly to the first two movies. The issue is I've seen many Marvel and other superhero movies, so I feel like I've seen it all and nothing excites me anymore. This is not just an issue with superhero movies, but most other movie genres as well where most of the movies being released are not new ideas. I would say watch the first Deadpool movie and if you like it then you should watch the other two.
