I struggle to find much positive to say of this series, and perhaps its most notable achievement is that we finally get some sort of official Warhammer media. I'm sure many may find that it visually looks good, and at times it does, but for the most part feels uninspired and hollow. The condensed stories are poorly written, and combined with the short runtimes will leave you with little to no attachment to the characters, stories, or even much interest in the worlds they explore - at no point did it leave me wanting more, and most other points left me bored. Even its sole attempt at experimenting and exploring a new direction (with Pac-Man) simply feels like a lazy grim-dark gritty spoof put out in the early 2000s trying to snag that edgy teen crowd.
There are some movies that you immediately recognize of having had the potential to become classics, but were perhaps dismissed due to a glaring amount of faults - this is one such film.
The action, acting, diverse characters, swordsmanship, and pacing are all fantastic, but the real stand out is a fairly deep and involved mystery plot that builds up. While perhaps obvious to some, such mystery and third act reveal is still something not often found in many of its contemporaries.
Had the editing and horrific continuity (make no mistake, you will be left with a case of whiplash as characters jump from one set to a field miles away with a single cut) been tightened up this would be deserving to stand side-by-side with the other greats of the genre. The quality of the subtitles (at least for the burned-in ones I watched) is also lacking but good enough to follow along - however I do hope this film gets a remaster one day with a proper translation to go along with it.

Having high hopes going into this clearly wasn't the best idea, as you'll find yourself disappointed at nearly every turn. The film fails to do anything original, instead relying on predictable by-the-numbers tropes we've seen a million times ago, with a plot that is nonexistent (there is an idea, but no plot whatsoever).
You are better off exploring any other B-movie offerings if this sort religious horror is what you seek, such as 'The Devil Conspiracy' or 'Hellhole', both of which explored similar ideas to those found in Immaculate, but with a sense of fun and originality (and with more effort put into their production due to dealing with smaller budgets, whereas Immaculate will make you wonder what exactly they blew the $9 million on)
