  • Profane but not in speech.

My favorite Year is profane the film is bad. In a genre of comedy. Laughter rarely takes place. It formulaic and predictable. The casting is replete with characters. But the star is Peter O'Toole.

A film made in 1982. Suffers from the 1970's ideas.

The worst drama I've ever seen or reviewed is Carbon Copy. "My Favorite Year " is the comedy genre of this film.

A film that tries to reinvent "Singing in the Rain". Has failed.

I've seen many who like this film. But My Favorite Year is an assault onto the senses. Watching it hurt. Listening to it was painful. Happily this film wasn't a stratch and sniff picture. Because the odor was barnyard unpleasant.

  • 1985 Western

1985 was a great year, for the return of the western. Two westerns were made that year. Both filmsexposed a young sci-fi audience to the western genre. One of the films is Silverado. The other film is Pale Rider.

Silverado deemed a disappointment at the box office. The films influence continued even after filming ended. Cast members continued to work on projects together. The Genre, continues to flourish today on the small screen, and silver screen.

Kevin Costner, received this role as an aside for being cut out of "The Big Chill ". Then in turn had string of hit Westerns, from the Oscar winning "Dances with Wolves" to "Open Range" on the silver screen. Costner recently won an Emmy for the hit tv series "Yellowstone ".

Silverado, is listed by fans along with Tombstone as westerns that influenced them.
