Wow. So this was something amazing. A while ago I sent a friend this message: "It's amazing, amazing amazing amazing perfect great wonderful and I've run out of synonyms for the word amazing." And I stand by my words. The interesting thing is that the series is filmed in Taiwan, but according to a Chinese book by a very famous author called Priest, One Chinese series based on a book by this author has already been banned in China, so I'm glad that Taiwan took the initiative to create such a wonderful work. It will be very difficult for me to say goodbye to this couple. I think this is the first time I'm sorry that it's not common outside of Thailand for couples to stay together and star in multiple series because Chris and Kurt are the stars. They played the roles of Qian and Yuan perfectly and put their best into both characters. Chemistry begets chemistry, tension builds, and sparks fly exactly when they're supposed to. AWESOME.
The film not only tells the story of love, but also explains the affection, friendship, responsibility and so on. I don't think he can only be classified as a romantic film, but more about the relationship between responsibility and emotion. It is very suitable for watching when you don't know what love is, even if you are not a Girls who like to watch men fall in love with men, so that you can learn something about love and confirm your mind. Completely divorced from the definition of bl drama, it will be more profound, profound and unconventional. "Unknown" is really a good drama, with a good plot and well-performed actors. It is a film suitable for anyone to watch.

I really love it, it's one of my two favorite stories (for those who want to know the other is the Thai drama - I said sunset for you/I promised you the moon). And I think this is because it is realistic and gives vibes without pretentious tension, the story is very good and not fast in telling but with good character development. First the two main actors and others also have perfect chemistry and the emotions are not forced but genuine and I feel like it's a story that could have happened somewhere near us. Not because it's bl, but because it's really worth watching, I definitely recommended it.
This is my 1st time to leave a feedback since 2019 that I started my BL series journey.. Really, really worth watching.. I love the characters, the plot, the scenes and all.. 😍 I thought it was just the same lame stories of BL, I am thinking, I guess I won't be able to complete it or wait for the next episode. However, it really change my mind after I started watching it and I can't wait to watch the next episode. I am always eager to check if the next episode is already available and so I can continue watching it. I forget to watch some of the on going BL's because my focus is clearly on this Series. It is really UNKNOWN until you watch it. Great job to all people up front and behind this series. I HOPE TO WATCH MORE OF THIS.
BEST BL of 2024 No cap. It had a subtle storyline and gripping acting by brilliant casting . What I really liked is the character development of Wei Quan and Yuan throughout the story. Both of them successfully portrayed the true dilemma of their characters and how they grew better as individuals in the story. I liked how Yuan with his sheer determination finally won over the apprehensions of Qian , How when he came back from US he was more matured and bold , how Qian slowly realised what matters in the end are those who stood with you till the end. Be it the kindness of the Sang Pang or innocence of Lilli , The bits of humour through out the drama made it more better .Yuan in his all sassy attitude teasing Qian was fun to watch. While in most of the other bls , those intimate scenes (which I dont like usually ) are mostly out for pleasure , I liked how in this one it was not purely for that purpose, it was also a bold statement by Yuan asserting how he wanted to change the relationship dynamics between the two and wanted to prove that he could be the one standing with him till the end and that he could take the whole responsibility of family off Qian's shoulders and that he could prove to be his real life partner .This one was surely the one i would never regret watching .
This Taiwanese BL series was adapted from a book which is banned in China. Pfft... China banning everything about homosexuality, what else is new? I'm so glad to see the book was being adapted into a beautiful series. This story is thick with family drama, which can easily be boring, but not in this case. The main lead of this series is a big brother who adopted a little orphan who was abandoned on the streets. His life was polluted with crime when the main lead got involved with a gang in order to provide for his little sister and adopted brother. His struggle and love for his family is the main focus for the whole series. For those who are worried about the ending, I'm telling you not to fret. Because the ending is very satisfying. Remember, it's a Taiwanese BL series, not Chinese. It doesn't end with death or separation. Or both, like how the Chinese government have always forced their film makers to do in order to get past their myopic censorship abuse. Is it any wonder that people are more supportive of Taiwan being freed from the monstrous clutch of China?

If u want to start watching this series, be aware that you won't be able to stop. Everything is good, the acting, the plot... definitely watch it! Also you wont be getting dissapointed! I cant wait until ive forgotten about this series so that i can watch it again, but that probably wont be the case any soon as it is printed in my memories. The chemistry about this two people is fantastic. Its not a simple series, what i mean by that is that love doenst come easy like in some other series. You feel the pain, the longing, the not knowing who they are... and they played it just perfectly 👏
The only thing that could be better is that the plot was sometimes a bit slow, but actually this may be nescessary, so ye its not really a point of critique.
Go watch it!
Go watch it!

I'm gonna be honest, when I first started this, I wasn't quite with the idea. I haven't seen much of the "forbidden love" type drama (from the tags), but I was worried I'd end up dropping it. But in the end, I absolutely LOVED IT. I found myself wishing away my days just for the next episodes to come out, and here we are.
STORY: Wei Qian took has been taking care of his sister, Wei Li Li, ever since the loss of their parents. After meeting Wei Zhiyuan, he took him in after some time since he seemed to be an orphan. Qian works alongside a gang to help provide for his family but once they all begin to grow up, he quits. Zhiyuan, whose had a long time crush on Qian, makes a move and results in angering Wei Qian. Yuan gets sent abroad for his actions, but did it really make things better, or did it make things worse?
What can I say about this other than it was a masterpiece? At first I was concerned for the whole brother thing, but over time it grew on me. "Unknown" is something you can easily get attached to with all the characters and the interesting story. I must say, I think I cried a little bit when the gun scene came around, as well as the nc scene. I had been waiting EPISODES for that scene ever since I found out about it and I think I cried for the fact I was like "FINALLY."
LIKED: -The character development of both Qian and Yuan.
-The story overall -Sam Lin🙏🏽 -The love for one another (the caring that each character had for each other) -Flash backs -No genuine love rival -Confidence of Yuan a lil over halfway through the series
DISLIKES:
. . .
OVERALL:
Unknown is just a great series and deserves a lot of recognition for its cinematography, story, and actors. I loved the development through the episodes as it went on and the chemistry between the two actors. If I could watch this for the first time again, I would.
"People come and go in life. Being fortunate enough to have someone who stays by your side through thick and thin is a blessing. I've lost. I've found. I've found a home, a family, and a person I want to love for the rest of my life. You taught me that I should learn to carry the burdens of my own actions, just as you carried Lili and me, and kept the path to home, open. And I'll follow you down this road I chose, no matter how difficult it may be, life or death, no regrets. No matter who you are to me, from now on, no matter what happens, till death do us part. " -Wei Zhiyuan.

This Taiwanese series is a gem, a wonderful series that, along with the music, photography, and incredible performances, provides the perfect framework to showcase this tremendously human and profound story. It is undoubtedly one of the memorable series I have come across this year. This series tells a story of deep familial love, growth, and resilience where a clan of children survives and matures in love. It has fascinated, thrilled, and deeply moved me. The good script, direction, and excellent casting are evident. Actor Mao Di shines as the older brother who takes on the responsibility of caring for his sister and this child whom he embraces wholeheartedly as part of his family. I absolutely recommend it.
Taiwanese actors are really in the elements. This is especially true for the the main actor of Wei Qian. While the scripts of some other actors are kinda out of place, it is negligible. Fun fact, the teacher of the adopted brother that paid them home visit is actually Wei Qian biological elder brother in real life. The other cameo worth mentioning is Dr Lin. He is one of the main lead in another popular BL series. With only 12 episodes (30 mins each), storyline is rich but a bit lacking when it comes to the two male main leads. Some part of the storyline is fast forwarded too much. I wish there is a second season or a supplementary episode to compensate for this. Good works to actors and all the personnels involved. This is truly an enjoyable series.
Simply, one of the best shows you'll see this year. Begins with heartbreaking scenes of a single parent family suffering from the ravages of drug addiction, but then able to rebuild a family using compassion, caring, responsibility and love. When the now orphaned son and younger daughter decide to help, and take in, a young boy living on the streets, the drama takes on this wonderfully empowering story. It then develops into a truly heartwarming (and heart wrenching!) BL drama when the young boy come to realize his overwhelming love for his 'older brother'. How it develops to its conclusion is a remarkable feat of storytelling, acting, humor and sincerity. All handed with great taste, believable turns and twists and great satisfaction.
The actors are all wonderful, in their restraint, their pathos and completely honesty. Just a wonderful show.
