It's such a nice show. I binged watched it today and found it so refreshing and more than a decent show. When I came across it on JioCinema, I thought to check the ratings here and found 1/10 and almost dismissed it but fortunately scrolled a bit to read a few reviews and all 4 of them were positive reviews. One of them even warned about the false negative ratings. I decided to watch a episode to see it for myself and believe me it's not where near to 1/10. I mean what is wrong with this industry and people? Why defame or degrade anyone or anything? Let the people enjoy and give their honest feedback instead of depriving them of an entertaining show by misleading by fake ratings.
For all those a bit skeptical about it, give it a shot. I didn't feel bored at all. Pretty well made show.

One of the most beautiful and recurring themes in The Magic of Shiri is the deep connection between magic and nature. Shiri's spells often draw from natural elements like wind, fire, water, and earth, symbolizing harmony between the magical and natural worlds. This connection is more than aesthetic-it's integral to the story. Shiri learns that her power isn't just a force to control but a part of a larger balance that she must respect. This theme serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of protecting and cherishing the natural world, making the series both entertaining and environmentally conscious.

Shiri's relationships with her family add emotional weight to the series. Her family isn't just a background element; they play an active role in shaping her decisions and struggles. Whether it's the burden of living up to her family's legacy or the support they provide in her darkest moments, these dynamics feel authentic and deeply moving. What's particularly compelling is how the series portrays family conflict. Disagreements aren't superficial-they stem from genuine differences in values and priorities. Yet, despite these conflicts, there's an underlying sense of love and loyalty that binds them together. This nuanced portrayal adds depth to Shiri's character and makes her journey even more relatable.
This Jio Cinema series is a masterclass in storytelling. The writing is exceptional, offering a layered, gripping narrative with sharp dialogues and deeply realistic characters. Every twist feels earned, and the emotional beats land with precision. The direction enhances this further, with flawless pacing and a seamless blend of suspense and drama.
While the performances are strong-Divyanka shines with her heartfelt portrayal, and Javed Jaffrey is outstanding-the true star is the script. It's intelligent, engaging, and a benchmark for Indian web content. A must-watch for anyone who appreciates brilliant storytelling!

The storytelling is top-notch - it hooks you right from the first episode and keeps you invested till the end. If you love shows that combine strong storytelling with a bit of wonder, this one's definitely worth your time!
I think the 1 rating by some people is unfair. It's in necessary revolt by a religious community by looking at the trailer even before its release.

This series is extraordinary. Shiri's performance is nothing short of stellar. The way they have embodied the character, capturing every nuance and emotion, is truly captivating. The director's vision is clear, and the execution is flawless. The story line, dialogues, and unfolding of the plot are all equally impressive. Just loved it.
Its not easy for any actor to play so many roles at once and shift emotions seamlessly from one scenario to the other. The script has done great justice to prioritizing the choices made by Shiri.
I am in awe of the actress Shiri. Will definitely see this series more than once.

The plot of the series is interesting and fresh. Divyanka was really good at playing Shiri. All the characteristics that Shiri has like caring, loving, funny, courageous, the strong determination to prove herself, emotional breakdown everything was perfectly portrayed. Especially the act just before she fell from ladder is well performed.
I absolutely loved the scenes of Javed Jaffery and Divyanka. Their conversations and the way they portrayed the Guru and the student bond after Jadugar Saleem decides to teach magic tricks to Shiri is amazing. I felt the show was slow at 2-3 places in the initial episodes. But over all it's an interesting and engaging show.
The one who played Akash is so handsome and has a good screen presence. I think there should be a bit more of Akash and Shiri!
The challenges shown in the show faced by a woman when she decides to pursue her dreams are so real. Women in certain professions are not taken seriously. The way Shiri gets discouraged by her parents, in-laws, her husband, her daughter and the society...this is exactly how it is in the real society. Loved how Shiri was strongly determined and starts living her life the way she wants to. I really liked how they didn't glorify the sacrifices made by a woman for her family and instead showed that she should prioritise herself, otherwise she would end up being unhappy.

The Magic of Shiri is an inspiring series about a girl that beautifully highlights women's dreams, struggles, and triumphs. The story delves deep into the challenges women face while chasing their aspirations, delivering a heartfelt and empowering message. The direction and storytelling are exceptional, bringing every emotion to life in a relatable way. It's a perfect blend of inspiration, creativity, and meaningful drama.
Each scene is crafted with care, making the journey both relatable and memorable. It's not just a story-it's a celebration of courage and dreams.
Definitely worth watching 👍

Intresting series. Looks wonderful but I feel is copied from prime series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. All the characters are same. Same rich in-laws. Same type of husband. In Mrs Maisel she finds a woman who assists her in her comedy career in Magic of Shiri Javed Jafrey doing the same things.
Almost many things copied from Mrs Maisel. If you already watched Mrs Maisel you will definitely notice the similarities. Makers can say that they are inspired by Mrs Maisel. But they still didn't.
Actually bethe whole plot is copied from Mrs Maisel. They changed little things to looks different but it still feel copied.

Each act is carefully designed to not only entertain but to stir a sense of wonder that lingers long after the performance ends.
One of the most remarkable aspects of The Magic of Shiri is the way it plays with the senses. There's an underlying theme of hope, perseverance, and the belief that the impossible is within our grasp. This emotional layer elevates the entire experience, turning it into something more than just a performance-it becomes an unforgettable journey that stays with you long after the curtain falls.
The stage design and production value are also top-notch. From the lighting that shifts with every magical reveal to the music that swells and ebbs with perfect timing, every element of the show enhances the magic. It's a multi-sensory experience that is just as captivating visually as it is intellectually. The pacing is impeccable, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats while ensuring that no moment overstays its welcome.
Shiri's team also deserves special recognition. The performers who support her on stage play a crucial role in creating an atmosphere of wonder and surprise. Their skillful coordination and flawless execution make every act feel like a well-oiled machine, while still maintaining the spontaneity that keeps the audience engaged. Whether they're assisting with the magic or adding to the atmosphere, they complement Shiri's performance beautifully, ensuring that the entire show is a collaborative effort of the highest caliber.
In conclusion, The Magic of Shiri is a performance that sets the bar for modern magic. It is more than just an exhibition of illusions; it is a journey into the extraordinary, an exploration of what is possible when talent, creativity, and passion collide. I don't why but ratting of this series is 1.3 right now whereas this cute thing deserves 20 out of 10. I have watched thousands of movies and series but I rarely reviewed any. Last time I wrote a review for a Punjabi movie "Angrej" because I wast lost in story and characters of that movie. Today, I felt the same for this very show. Character of Shiri is so adorable that I immediately fell in love with her and I started to believe that Shiri is a real character and I can meet her, support her and admire her. I always believed that writer and director are backbone of a screenplay but sometimes an actor can surpass the magic of director. And lastly I must say that Diviyanka played the role of Shiri so well. This role required innocence whole time and common sense on time. Seriously, no other actress could played the role better than Diviyanka.

One of the most relatable aspects of Shiri's character is her feeling of being an outsider. Throughout the series, she struggles to fit into both the magical and non-magical worlds, often feeling like she belongs to neither. This struggle mirrors the experiences of many viewers who feel out of place in their own lives. Shiri's journey of self-acceptance and her eventual embrace of her unique identity is deeply inspiring. It shows that being different is not a weakness but a strength. Her story becomes a beacon of hope for anyone who has ever felt like they didn't belong, encouraging them to find power in their individuality.
Ancestry and heritage are recurring themes in The Magic of Shiri, shaping her identity and understanding of her powers. Shiri's exploration of her family's magical legacy adds depth to her character and enriches the story's world-building. This connection is not without its challenges. Shiri often struggles with the weight of expectations and the fear of disappointing her ancestors. However, as she learns to honor their legacy while forging her own path, she discovers a balance that empowers her. This theme resonates deeply, emphasizing the importance of understanding and embracing one's roots.
The antagonist's arc in The Magic of Shiri is brilliantly executed. Instead of a simple good-versus-evil dynamic, the series delves into the antagonist's motivations and backstory, making their actions understandable, if not excusable. This complexity adds moral ambiguity to the story, forcing Shiri and viewers alike to grapple with tough questions about justice, revenge, and redemption. One of the series' standout features is its depiction of the mentor-mentee relationship. Shiri's bond with her mentor is both heartwarming and challenging. The mentor is not infallible-they have their own struggles and past mistakes that shape their guidance. This dynamic allows for mutual growth and shows how mentorship is as much about learning as it is about teaching.

The theme of duality runs throughout The Magic of Shiri, with the contrast between light and darkness being particularly prominent. Shiri's magical abilities are an embodiment of this balance-while she has the power to do great good, she must constantly be aware of the potential for destruction within her. This duality isn't limited to magic-it extends to her personal journey. Shiri often struggles with her darker impulses, whether it's anger, fear, or the desire for revenge. These moments of internal conflict make her character all the more relatable. The series doesn't present a world of clear moral boundaries; instead, it suggests that true strength comes from accepting and understanding the coexistence of light and darkness within oneself. The exploration of this theme adds a rich layer of complexity to the narrative, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own internal conflicts.
One of the most remarkable aspects of The Magic of Shiri is its portrayal of personal growth through the lens of magic. Shiri's journey is about much more than discovering her powers-it's a coming-of-age story that mirrors the struggles many of us face in finding our identity and place in the world. At the beginning of the series, Shiri's insecurities hold her back. She constantly questions whether she's worthy of her destiny, a theme that resonates deeply with anyone who has faced imposter syndrome. It's a coming-of-age story that mirrors the struggles many of us face in finding our identity and place in the world.

A recurring theme in The Magic of Shiri is the importance of confronting and embracing one's past. Shiri's journey is deeply tied to her family's history, which is both a source of strength and a burden she must overcome. The series beautifully explores how the past shapes the present, showing that understanding one's roots is essential for personal growth.
