We announced earlier that Rajkumar Santoshi has a new film titled Badboy that will star new actors. Well now, we know who those two debutants will be. Badboy is a romcom and the two that will romance are actor Mithun Chakraborty son Namashi and producer Sajid Qureshi’s daughter Amrin.

Both Namashi and Amrin have been prepping for their Bollywood debut. “Rajkumar had several rounds of auditions before deciding on them and thereafter put both of them through some acting workshops”, said Sajid Qureshi.

Badboy which has begun it’s first schedule, will be shot in Bangalore and Mumbai over the next 65 days. The makers have also planned to shoot few songs in abroad.

Badboy is produced by Inbox Pictures and will be on the lines of Santoshi’s previous films Phata Poster Nikhla Hero and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani as this genre appeals to younger audiences more.

Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty's second son Namashi will be foraying into Bollywood with Rajkumar Santoshi's upcoming quirky young romantic comedy titled "BadBoy".

The film will also feature producer Sajid Qureshi's daughter Amrin.

"Rajkumar had several rounds of auditions before deciding on them and put both of them through some acting workshops," Qureshi said in a statement.

The producer also revealed the film would be on the lines of Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D'cruz's "Phata Poster Nikhla Hero", and "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani" featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.

Mithun was in the Us when Namashi was signed for the film, Qureshi said.

"But on his return, he met us and discussed the script. Any father would be pleased to have his child launched by Rajkumar Santoshi. It means he is in safe hands," he said.

The film will be shot in Bengaluru and Mumbai over the next 65 days.

Bollywood actress Ileana D’Cruz, who has featured in Hindi films like ‘Barfi’, ‘Phata Poster Nikhla Hero’, ‘Main Tera Hero’ and ‘Happy Ending’, has said that she’s proud of being a part of her upcoming film ‘Rustom’ where she has been cast opposite Akshay Kumar.

To his credit, Santoshi deftly delivers the dynamics of drollery. No two ways about it. Unlike last week's lewd laughter in "Grand Masti", "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" (Ppnh) avoids vulgarity like the plague.

"In the past also, I have done comedy films but after marriage, I took a backseat which I don't regret. But I was bored while sitting at home and when I got this offer I liked the script. Also, it was a complete family entertainer. Now I want to explore all kind of genres," she said.

Mumbai, July 27: Actor Shahid Kapoor says his character in the forthcoming film "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" is a fan of Bollywood star Salman Khan, who has also done a cameo in the movie.

"There's a little scene in the film where Salman sir is there...Salman sir was kind enough to do a special appearance in the film," the 32-year-old said here Friday at a press meet for the film.

Nargis Fakhri is reportedly doing an item number on a song composed by Pritam and choreographed by Bosco-Caesar for the film, while Ileana D’Cruz plays the female lead opposite Shahid. Produced by Ramesh Taurani’s Tips Films, the film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and is expected to hit the screens by September 20th 2013.
