Deyshaun Tucker, best known for his recurring role as Roman on BET+’s The Family Business, has signed with Zero Gravity Management for representation.
Tucker joined the current fifth season of Carl Weber’s The Family Business in the heavily recurring role, alongside stars Ernie Hudson, Valarie Pettiford, Darrin DeWitt Henson, Javicia Leslie and Tami Roman. The Family Business follows the Duncan family from Weber’s bestselling crime book series.

Carl Weber’s The Black Hamptons is returning. BET+ has ordered a second season of the drama. The four-episode first season debuted on the streaming service in late August 2022.
Starring Lamman Rucker, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Elise Neal, Brian White, Karon Riley, Mike Merrill, Blac Chyna, Aaron Spears, Daya Vaidya, Cameo Sherrell, Franklin Ojeda Smith, Jordan Smith, Jennifer Freeman, and David Andrews, the series follows two prominent Black families living in Sag Harbor in Long Island.

The 2023 NAACP Image Awards continued their week–long celebration Friday with a non-televised dinner where winners in a number of categories were honored.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Abbott Elementary were among the top winners from night five, with each project winning three awards. The Best Man: The Final Chapters and P-Valley each won two awards.

Lifetime has announced the airdate for “Reba McEntire’s The Hammer,” which marks Lifetime’s second collaboration with the country music singer following 2021’s “Reba McEntire’s Christmas in Tune.”
Inspired by the life of traveling circuit judge Kim Wanker, the original film follows Kim Wheeler (McEntire), a lawyer who is appointed Judge of the 5th District of Nevada and becomes one of the few traveling judges left in America. “The Hammer” reunites McEntire with her “Reba” co-star Melissa Peterman and stars Kay Shioma Metchie and Rex Linn.
The film is produced by The Cartel and Pahrump Pictures with Stan Spry, Eric Woods, Anthony Fankhauser, Steven St. Arnaud and McEntire serving as executive producers. Jeff Beesley directs from a script by Karen Wyscarver and Sanford Golden.

Exclusive: Fivel Stewart (Umma) will exec produce and star in the horror-thriller Wake, from directors Tom Arizmendi and Austin Parks Stewart.
In the film written by Elizabeth H. Vu, a struggling actress, desperate for a lead role in a Hollywood remake, tracks down the lead of the original film, who’s now a mysterious recluse. Strange occurrences quickly turn the meeting into a nightmare. Stewart’s fellow producers on the project are Daniel Blake Smith, Teddy Van Gough and Sam Logan.
Stewart played Izzy on Netflix’s hit series Atypical, more recently starring opposite Sandra Oh in the Sam Raimi-produced supernatural horror film Umma, as well as in the Freeform film Close Up with A Quiet Place’s Millicent Simmonds. The actress has also been seen in films like The Never List and on such series as Awesomeness TV’s T@gged. She is represented by Sovereign Talent Group and Tsc Entertainment.
