As far as spinoffs are concerned, Zatima has always been a curious little kitty.

Now in its third season on BET+, the Sistas spinoff takes viewers deeper into the world of supercouple Zac and Fatima (aka #Zatima), who apparently have a whole other life that the girls know nothing about — from the death of Zac’s mother to Fatima’s recent pregnancy. For some reason, almost none of the events of Zatima are ever addressed on Sistas, despite the two shows airing simultaneously.

We’re happy to report that that’s all about to change in Season 8 of Sistas, which premieres tonight at 9/8c on BET. Speaking with TVLine, Crystal Renee Hayslett confirms that her character’s pregnancy — which thus far has only been addressed on Zatima — will become a topic of conversation on Sistas.

“I do end up telling one of the girls,” Hayslett teases, and that’s all she can say without incurring Tyler Perry’s wrath. (We’ve seen The Oval, we know he doesn’t play.)

In terms of Sistas and Zatima‘s complicated timelines, Hayslett admits, “Even as an actor, I’ve had trouble trying to connect the dots. When we’re shooting, we don’t know when it’s going to air, so it’s really hard to keep it all together. Tyler was like, ‘Just look at Zatima as its own world and look at Sistas as its own world.'”

And the Sistas world has never been messier. Picking up where the Season 7 finale left off, tonight’s premiere asks the question on everyone’s mind — who stabbed Gary? If you really think about it, everyone’s a suspect! (Side note: Gary is another character who was casually mentioned on Zatima recently, as if he hadn’t just been stabbed on his wedding day. Just merge the timelines already!)
