Here is some exciting news Ajay K Pannalal’s ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ is bringing back the 80’s classic villains Gulshan Grover and Ranjeet.
Producer Amul Mohan stated, “The only way Rajkummar Rao could actually feel intimidated and emote was if the original bad men shared screen space with him. Gulshan ji and Ranjeet ji are coming on screen after so long that even the audiences would love to see them. And since they are the best at their job, I thought it would only make sense to bring them back with our film ‘Behen Hogi Teri’.
Rajkummar revealed, “Shooting with both Ranjeet sir and Gulshan sir was a really wonderful experience. They both are such cooperative actors and so well experienced. National award winning actor Prakash Raj who played baddie Jaykant Shikre in Singham will be reunited with Ajay Devgn in Golmaal Again.
He came on-board in Rohit Shetty’s fourth instalment of comedy hit Golmaal last month and will begin shooting in March in Mumbai. He admitted how he and Rohit have been wanting to collaborate since a long time and it couldn’t work out because Rohit didn’t have a suitable role for Prakash to play.
Finally, he got notified about this character in Golmaal Again so he instantly flew down to Mumbai and did a narration with the dialogue writers Sajid-Farhad. Prakash’s character is an entertaining one with shades of grey according to him and he also thinks the script in itself is hilarious.
Prakash states that Ajay and he share a comfort level and having a national award winning star like him elevates one’s performance naturally.

Rohit Shetty's kinship with Shah Rukh Khan is terminated, at least for now. Sources say Rohit and Shah Rukh's plans to do another film together after Chennai Express and Dilwale have been aborted. Shetty will once again work with his old pal Ajay Devgn. Says the source, "The experience of making Dilwale was not a very pleasant one for Rohit. There were constant arguments specially about the release date. Rohit was against releasing the film along with Bajirao Mastani. But Shah Rukh insisted. For now the project that the two of them planned together has been put on hold." Instead Rohit Shetty will be doing another Golmaal film with his pal Ajay Devgn. The source informs that the script for the new Golmaal film is now being worked out. "This will be Rohit's fourth Golmaal outing with Ajay. And they want it bigger, brighter and funnier than before,...

December 18 is the day when Sanjay Leela Bhansali clashes with Shah Rukh Khan at the box office. Bhansali's epic historical Bajirao Mastani and the new Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dilwale are all set to spar on the same Friday in December. Trade experts who don't want to be named are worried. An eminent producer known to churn out a nearly uninterrupted flow of hits predicts, "While Bajirao Mastani is likely to be a modern classic, it is the combination of Shah Rukh Khan and director Rohit Shetty that will draw in the crowds initially. The audience will first see Dilwale then Bajirao Mastani." In the meanwhile, the battle for theatres has begun. One hears that Shah Rukh's production house Red Chillies will be booking a majority of the screens across the country. "They have the clout. No one says no to Shah Rukh Khan. You just know if over-the-top ridiculous movies are your kind of thing. If you’re not one of those people, you’ll find justification for your dislike in bits of Welcome Back that just try too hard. But if you are a lover of rapid-fire absurdities, you’ll mostly giggle and chuckle as the plot becomes increasingly convoluted.
Overall, Welcome Back is exactly the kind of ridiculous, zingy stuff you expect from writer-director Anees Bazmee, with the right amount of nods to other films (Bunty Aur Babli, Ram Lakhan and Pk, to name a few), insults (personal favorite “moochwala bean bag”) and physical gags. But the humor isn’t always as smoothly sustained as in the original Welcome, and on occasions, perhaps not unexpectedly, the movie tries reaching too far and goes well past the gleeful “did they really go there?” disbelief into “why did they go there?” disbelief. (I...

Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam’ is one of the most forward-looking movie of this month. The actor is playing a very simple character and it is receiving great response from all over. The makers recently released a motion poster of the movie which gives a glimpse to the story.
The motion video poster shows the struggle of Vijay Salgaonkar (a cable operator played by Ajay) to protect his family. He says he is innocent, but Ig Meera Deshmukh (a cop played by Tabu) thinks he is a liar. Like its trailer and songs, this video is also looking promising. Watch it now:

Hindi cinema boasts of some iconic villains like Kanhaiyalal, Ajit, Amjad Khan, Amrish Puri Prem Chopra, Ranjeet, Danny, Shakti Kapoor and Gulshan Grover, to name a few, but the trend changed somewhat in the 70s-80s, where some of the top stars essayed characters having shades of grey. In case of ladies, there were the occasional Shashi Kalas and Lalita Pawars, but not many.
However, it was Urmila with Kaun, Kajol in Gupt, Priyanka via Aitraaz and Aishwarya in Khakee, who shocked and awed with brilliant negative portrayals. And one was forced to sit and admire such beautiful leading ladies going chillingly grey with a vengeance. But now one of the best actress of recent times Tabu has made it a habit.
Yes, the highly versatile Tabu made one jump out of the seat in Sunny Deol's Jaal -The Trap. Recently she wowed the audience with another stellar performance...

Cast your minds back to 2002 - a time when Pop Idols didn't need to have The X Factor, Fifty Shades of Grey were just colours on a paint sampler chart and David Beckham was a mere international superstar rather than global megastar.

Though Ajay Devgn's Shivaay did not work as per schedule, it did not stop the actor from going on movie signing spree. While it was touted that his fans won't get a glimpse of Ajay Devgn this year, it came as a surprise when Nishikant Kamat announced about Drishyam remake going on floor, followed by Milan Luthria's Baadshaho and now the movie added to the list is Fateh Singh, to be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film which was initially offered to Sunny Deol will now see Ajay Devgn playing the leading man. Rajkumar Santoshi who is currently working on Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Woh Jamiya Nahi, will be starting with Fateh Singh by the end of this year. We could not pick just one scene from the great Dil Toh Pagal Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Karishma Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. However, the two that stand out for our writers are:
That moment when Madhuri and Shah Rukh are in adjoining changing rooms in a clothing store, and Madhuri hears him whistle a tune. She later hears it again and knows it was meant to be!

Gurgaon, directed by national award winning cinematographer Shanker Raman is co produced by Ajay G Rai and Alan McAlex of Jar films and Mukesh Chhabra. Interestingly, while Akshay was shooting for Fitoor in Kashmir, Ajay Rai, who is the line producer on Fitoor liked his work and recommended his name to the director of the film. Shanker saw few scenes from Akshay’s film Pizza and the public service ad he had done and liked him instantly.
Akshay will be seen a totally new look and role in the film.

Bollywood stars including Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turned out for the opening of the Mumbai Film Festival (October 14-21), which is celebrating its 16th edition despite almost being shut down a few months ago due to lack of funding.

In any industry where the lead police cops are often shown as larger than life, one-man army characters, Mardaani is a welcome respite. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, (Parineeta, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag), Mardaani’s Shivani Shivaji Roy tries to steer clear of the Chulbul Pandeys and the Singhams of Bollywood cops and manages to do so to quite an extent.
From the first scene of the movie itself, Pradeep sets the tone of the movie as well as the protagonist. Shivani (Rani Mukherjee) is a Crime Branch Officer who finds her personal and professional life entwined after Pyaari (Priyanka Sharma), an orphan kid who she considers as her daughter, gets kidnapped. What on the surface seems to be a case of a missing kid leads to a darker and murkier world of sex trafficking which the antagonist Walt carries on such a large and organized scale that it will chill your bones.

Make no mistake when you walk into the second instalment of a Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgan combo film, there is no room for any arty cinematic moments. Singham Returns is a reiteration of the Blockbuster hit film, Singham. Thankfully this one stays away from the remake category unlike the first one. So with cars to blow, Kareena to beautify the screen and Ajay to go all ‘Ataa Maaji Satakli’ on the baddies, lets step into the story realm.
Bajiao Singham (Devgan) is back with his ferocious attitude and walks into Mumbai, the city that never sleeps. Politics, power and prayers to the local Baba rule the roost. So naturally things wont stay the same, now that Singham is around. With Guruji (Anupam Kher) leading the social awareness aspect and bringing forth a younger generation of promising politicians into his party, feathers are ruffled for the bad guys. Unknown to them,...

Rohit Shetty’s Singham Returns sees Ajay Devgan reprise his much-applauded role of D.C.P Bajirao Singham.
For an action thriller, Singham featured a short yet well composed soundtrack by national award-winners Ajay-Atul and lyrics by the incorrigible Swanand Kirkire. Shetty has opted for another short album again, comprising of five tracks composed by Yo Yo Honey Singh (‘Lungi Dance’ – Chennai Express), Jeet Ganguly (Aashiqui 2), Ankit Tiwari (Ek Villain) and Meet Bros Anjan (Kick). Vocal talents featured in the album are that of Mamta Sharma (‘Munni Badnaam’ – Dabangg), Arjit Singh (‘Muskurane’ – Citylights), Ankit Tiwari (‘Galliyaan’ – Ek Villain) and Mika Singh (‘Jhumme Ki Raat’ – Kick).
The album opens with Aaja Mata Satakli. If you are not tiresome of the overuse of Yo Yo Honey Singh in Bollywood yet, then ‘Aaja Mata Satakli’ just might be impressive or the push you needed to feel otherwise. It is a typical Yo Yo fare,...

Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion faced legal crisis when a woman named Seema Seth filed a complaint against Bhandarkar, writer Ajay Mongia and Ronnie Screwvala on the basis of copyright infringement. However, today, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Lokesh Kumar Sharma dismissed the case against Madhur and others after Seema repeatedly did not make an appearance in the court.
Seth filed a case claiming that Fashion's plot was stolen from a book without giving credit to the author. She was asked to appear before the court with evidence, almost a year ago to continue with further legal procedures but the complainant never made it. Also, Seth had filed charges against Utv Motion Pictures and later, sought Rs. 2.5 crores as compensation.

With the highly-acclaimed Madras Cafe opening to very encouraging responses, the scenario is perfect for another political thriller coming Friday.
And no, Satyagraha is not a sequel to Prakash Jha's Raajneeti. "I was only trying to say that the politics of the two films has a kind of continuity. Where the politics of Raajneeti ends the politics of Satyagraha takes over. Otherwise there is no similarity between the two films. The characters are very different from one another," says Prakash Jha.
While Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpayee and Arjun Rampal have worked in a number of films with Prakash, and the Big B has done the anti-reservation film Aarakshan before, it is a first for Prakash with Kareena Kapoor.
Says the director, "There were talks about other leading ladies opposite Ajay. But I was adamant on Kareena. I feel she is at a stage in her career where she needs...

Ajay Devgn is one of the biggest superstars we have in Bollywood today, but this has not made him forget his earlier days in the industry! Well, the story goes that the actor was recently shooting for Sajid Khan’s highly anticipated Himmatwala remake at Shell Bharat Petroleum in Chembur. This location is very close to the lion king’s heart as he shot for the yesteryear superhit Phool Aur Kante at the same venue.

Looking back at 2012 song-ically, it certainly was a year of cool sounds, new voices, groovy and groovin’ beats and over all some killer tracks. Many of the songs brought a new vibe to the music of the movies, songs flavored with new influences, and songs that we never would have thought we would hear in a Bollywood flick. There were classic beats that got us up and dancing not to mention the grooves of today that got us to move to the music. We met some new singers we can’t wait to hear more of and some of our favorites blew us away with outstanding vocals. 2012 was full of surprises and we enjoyed so many of them, 50 in fact and every single note! As always we loved these songs when they first came out but once we saw them in the movie we loved them even more! Check out...
