Sajid Khan is an Indian film director, actor, and television presenter. Farah and Sajid Khan have even performed together as backup dancers in the song "Bachale Sambhale Koi To Yahan Se Nikale" from the 1985 film 3D Saamri (1985).
Khan attended Maneckji Cooper School in Mumbai and completed his graduation from Mithibai College. He has been interested in acting and direction since childhood, and he used to participate in dance competitions, plays and dramas throughout his college career.
After completing his education, Khan began his career in the film industry as an actor and appeared in several movies like Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate (1998), Main Hoon Na (2004), and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004).
Khan has hosted a variety of TV shows, including Superhit Muqabla, Main Bhi Detective (1995), Ikke Pe Ikka (1996), Kehne Mein Kya Harz Hai (1997-2001), Super Sale (2005), and Yaaron Ki Baraat (2016).
In 2012, Khan hosted the popular game show Extraaa Innings T20 during the Indian Premier League season. In addition to his involvement in the television industry, Khan hosted the 2009 Screen Awards.
Khan has also created stand-up comedy shows on TV, including Sajid No.1 (2003) and Sajid's Superstars (2008). He has also been the judge of several reality shows, including India's Got Talent (2009) and the sixth season of Nach Baliye (2005) with Terence Lewis and Shilpa Shetty Kundra, for which they were nominated for the Indian Telly Awards for Best Judge on a TV Show.
In 2006, Khan made his directorial debut with the movie Darna Zaroori Hai (2006), a horror anthology film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, and Arjun Rampal.
However, he became widely recognised for his second movie Heyy Babyy (2007), a comedy film starring Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vidya Balan. The movie was a commercial success, grossing 51.56 crores worldwide. Khan was also nominated at the 14th Screen Awards for Best Debut Director for his film Heyy Babyy (2008).
Khan continued his success streak with his next two comedies, Housefull (2010) and Housefull 2 (2012), featuring a star-studded cast. Housefull (2010), featuring Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, and Riteish Deshmukh, earned Khan a nomination for the Zee Cine Awards (2011) for Best Director, while the film won the Stardust Awards (2011) for Best Film - Comedy or Romance.
Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh star in Housefull 2 (2012) again, albeit in different roles, with John Abraham joining the cast anew. Khan won the Zee Cine Award for the Power Club - Box Office Award category for this comedy film.
Khan went on to direct movies like Himmatwala (2013), starring Ajay Devgn and Humshakals (2014), starring Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Ram Kapoor.
