Elvis Presley recorded over 20 songs dedicated to his favorite time of year, Christmas. However, when it came to recording the iconic holiday tune “Blue Christmas” he had a Grinch moment, saying “Let’s get this over with.”
Recording ‘Blue Christmas’ wasn’t one of Elvis Presley’s favorite moments
Elvis Presley recorded “Blue Christmas” with Nashville singer Millie Kirkham as one of the background vocalists on Sept. 5, 1957, at Radio Recorders in Hollywood. It was included on Elvis’ Christmas Album, released on Oct. 15, 1957.
Kirkham recalled recording with Elvis in 2012 as reported by The Tennessean. She revealed he had been asked to re-record the song, and wasn’t really into the prospect of doing it.
“He turned around to us,” Kirkham said. “The musicians and the singers, and he said, ‘Ok, let’s just get this over with.”
She continued that he said, “‘Just do anything. Have fun, have a good time,...

It was a family affair for superstar songstress Mariah Carey as she brought her Merry Christmas One and All! tour to the Hollywood Bowl for two sold-out shows on Nov. 17 and 19.
Joining the superstar onstage both nights were her 12-year-old twins (with Nick Cannon), Moroccan and Monroe, or “Roc and Roe,” as the singer put it. Carey’s daughter, Monroe, joined her mom for a duet on a soaring “Jesus Born on This Day,” from Carey’s 1994 holiday album Merry Christmas, with Monroe also fronting a rollicking version of The Waitresses’ “Christmas Wrapping.” Moroccan made a brief appearance for “Here Comes Santa Claus (Right Down Santa Claus Lane).” Upbeat versions — complete with all the “zhuzh,” Carey noted — of her Christmas standards started out the set list with cheer.

No one seems to be more excited about the opportunities 2021 may bring than Josh Gad. To celebrate the end of a hellish year, Gad partnered with Captain Morgan for an updated retelling of a holiday favorite, lovingly called "'Twas the End of 2020." The retelling hits the highs and lows of 2020, including the shortage of toilet paper, getting to wear sweatpants everywhere, and reuniting with friends over Zoom. "It really does speak to billions of us who, I think, have all had this Twilight Zone experience together," Gad said to Popsugar. "What it calls upon are things that each of us understand to a T, like the crisis of being able to get toilet paper or the idea of putting on the Covid 15."
He continued, "It does such a good job of saying a fond farewell to a year that I don't think many of us...
