I recently purchased this film off ebay recently and i figured to buy it and see if its any good? The fighting within the film is not as what you call first rate, i've seen better, but the scenes were good. Also you get outtakes from the film, e.g. making line mistakes etc. Shannon Tweed does a good job of playing a innocent mum to mistress to the evil "roach", what a name. I've seen quite a few of Shannon Tweed's films, some of which i have on DVD, Body Chemistry 4 to name one, Overall i rated this 3 stars as its OK in some places, but her other films have done a lot better. If you've got a collection of her films like I have, add this one to spice it up slightly.
Shannon Tweed should really stick to soft-core erotica, because this "superpowered" film isn't that good. The premise alone is icky: Shannon plays Electra, woman trying to seduce her own stepson so she can get her incestuous hands on some type of super-hero formula that was injected into him. Ew! Meanwhile some paraplegic businessman named Mr. Roach (the lamest villain EVER!) wants the formula too. So eventually Roach becomes taken with Electra and HER magical abilities (the superhuman ability of being a slut) and teams up to take down Joe, the stepson and his cute but sensible girlfriend. The sad part is that despite lamely choreographed fights straight out of "The Six Million Dollar Man", obvious special effects, and a tacky subject matter, it's STILL a better film then Superman 4 or Batman & Robin. Barely. So fans of both DTV action films and fans of Shannon Tweed's rack will get some guilty thrills out of this poorly done, yet entertaining fare.

Where does one begin in trying to describe this movie? Even as over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek movies go, this is an experience that is particularly hard to describe. First off, this film is not for everybody, as I'm sure many people would have a problem with the major sexual tension between stepmom and son. For those of you who are not offended, prepare for a ridiculous plot, hilariously bad fighting scenes, and some truly abysmal out-takes that were rescued from the chopping room floor for our...um...pleasure. This film is SO bad, in fact, that it's almost worthwhile. If you thought that only Ed Wood could make films so bad that they're funny, then this film proves you wrong. I saw this film alone, and found it to be funny at times. Watch this film with a group of friends, and you'll probably enjoy a laugh riot.
Seriously, someone needs to be taken out and shot for this movie. It's funny, I checked it out, this movie wasn't even shot in Watertown, NY like it said it took place in. The acting is so poor. Shannon Tweed adds to her horrible career in B-Movies. To sum it up, it is about a moral (and cheesy looking) teenager who holds in his blood serum for eternal life. It can only be taken from his body and given to the bad guys through sexual contact. And since the main character is attracted to his widowed step mom, how better for the evil people to get it, than to have mother and son engage in an act of perversion. However, I must say, despite my lack of respect for this movie, that it is a must see because it offers the viewer such unintentional comic relief.
Roach, the powerful man who owns a company trying to attain world domination is so pathetic. The women commandos, who are supposed to be the warriors of this international corporation, are clad in leather, and instead of driving in limos, the all powerful Roach people ride around in a van with the name of the company painted on it. I'd honestly rather watch flies engage in incest than watch this movie a second time. But, I'm glad I could get some laughs off of it.

Electra is an awful erotic comedy concerning a widowed woman, played by the absolutely gorgeous Shannon Tweed, who is desperate to get it on with her stepson who just happens to possess superhuman powers. This is totally awful film which consists of busty women in fetish gear performing in terribly tacky fight scenes. One fleeting glimpse of Shannon Tweeds bare breasts is all you see, although you do see her in leather bondage gear, which is the highlight of this terrible, terrible, terrible film. However if I could spend a night with any woman on the planet i'd still choose Shannon Tweed every time. Shannon Tweed is beyond dispute the sexiest "older woman" in movie history. If only she'd get her panties off more in genuinely sexy films instead of putting her name to rubbish like this.

Electra.. The new movie starring Playboy Playmate Shannon Tweed.. I saw this a few years ago.. I must admit, it was one of the most terrible movies I've seen.. My Sister and I watched it.. We were just laughing our heads off throughout the movie..
In this film, you got this funny looking billionaire Roach (STEN EIRIK) who looks like something out of Dr Who.. looking for a serum which can turn some human into superhuman.. The serum is in a teen kid's body, Billy (JOE TABB).. So Roach send his guys to keep Billy's butt and get the serum from him..
As it goes on, there were so many flaws in that film.. I really couldn't get the hang of anything on there..
So, I felt like this is totally gross.. Pure pappy-show! I know for a fact, Ashok Amritraj made produced some really good action films.. But this is one of his worsts..
Well, in the world of film-making.. There are some good points and there are some bad points.. I'm just looking at the bad..
It's terrible! Not my cup of tea! Awful! 1 out of 10!

Since there are well over 1,000 movies already tied for 1st place in the "Worst movie ever made" category according to IMDB reviewers, I'll not add another. Having said that, it's hard to comprehend how an established star like Shannon Tweed and a "better-than-newcomer" like Katie Griffin could get involved with such sleaze. Let's say that we also caught Ashok Amritraj (executive director) in his "5th grade values period." Remember, there was a time when many of us thought that mutilation of the human body, complete with strange substances oozing from every visible orifice, was cool. Then there was a teenage period when it was fun to look back and laugh at those values. But after that, most of us grew up.
BTW I watched it twice, just to see if I were missing something since I am a fan of Ashok Amritraj and Shannon Tweed; but both times were painful.

This film is so bad, it's good. After all it's not in every film that we are treated to female henchmen dressed in kinky boots and PVC. One of them seems to get a real thrill out of beating up the hero. Seriously though, when you pick up a movie like this, you do not expect Citizen Kane and you shouldn't try to judge it in that way. Electra is a low budget erotic sci-fi action thriller, and on that level it excels. Shannon Tweed is outstanding (well two bits of her) as always, and the two female henchmen are memorable.
It's just a shame we were never treated to the promised sequel. Why is this fine movie not available on DVD?

Any lover of 50's 'B' movies should tune into this ridiculous, over-the-top, bad-taste film which despite everything is great fun to watch. Shannon Tweed may be limited in her acting range, but for entertainment value give the girl a gold suspender belt in recognition for her services to cinema.
'Electra' concerns a wheelchair-bound (and therefore emasculated) megalomaniac called Roach, who seeks world domination in a James Bond-villain kind of way. He needs a serum which can be passed on sexually and Shannon Tweed's step-son Billy (whom she fancies) has the serum in him and they both become the target of Roach's henchmen (and women - there are two particularly appealing, erotic but deadly, kickboxing female assistants).
The plot is relatively tight and everything reaches a climax with Shannon Tweed becoming Electra and fighting her stepson's girlfriend for his bodily fluids. Roach meets his demise with an exploding head finale (like Scanners), and everything trundles along happily to a selection of out-takes before the final credits.
First rate entertainment - anyone who slates this film should have their video taken off them - they don't understand the meaning of fun.
BEST SCENE - Billy's girlfriend has a fight with two leather-clad girls, ripping the heart out of one of them !!!

While cruising the cable movie channels before bed, I saw "Electra" coming up. I saw that the film was dated 1995 and so assumed it was an earlier, not-talked about version of the story of the Marvel comics character. Not being too familiar with the story, it took some time for me to clue into the fact that this film was something entirely different. Something quite shocking, frankly.
The expression "train wreck", where you can't pull your eyes away from something so terrible because of a perverted sort of pleasure, this movie lured me in and kept me watching. I was laughing at several points in this movie, and was even slightly disgusted at other times. However, I continued, watching the twisted metal as it piled up and began to buckle.
It is a fairly interesting psychological exercise to watch this film and try to imagine the thought processes behind the ideas in the film. If psychology is not your cup of tea, an equally enjoyable time can likely be had from watching this movie after a few beers. The thought processes are simply bizarre and the film jumps from one scenario to the next at a lively pace. Nothing about the film is formulaic or predictable.
I cannot in good conscience give this movie a 9, even though for me the experience was magical, simply because I expect some people would be unable to keep watching. If you are ready to see a ridiculous flick (think "Killer Tomatoes" but with the humour strictly unintentional), and can stand the raunch, this film delivers high train wreck value.

This is my favourite Shannon Tweed film, even though she actually reveals much less of her magnificent body than I would have liked. Nevertheless the sight of her in latex basque, with wild make up and hair, straddling her adopted son - who is manacled to a revolving table of course - and and then forcing him to give his seed to her is one to remember. Magnificent. As is Shannon's pathetic attempt at resistance when she is strapped down and pleasured by the two lesbian henchwomen. A completely over the top film which is great fun. Better than the usual limp efforts that that the great Shannon seems to have spend half her career wasted on. At least with his effort we can have a laugh as well as simply pleasuring ourselves. Just give us what we want Shannon - over the top nudity!
I can't believe this film is being slated so badly. It's not trying to be a Hollywood blockbuster and it still manages to far exceed most of them. The scene where Shannon Tweed has sex with her son in order to get his super-powered sperm inside her is pure genius. If you're feeling suicidal, this film will give you a reason to keep living. Watch it. This film has Shannon Tweed, A hot leading man, and a pair lipstick Lesbian PVC clad dominatrix types. Something for everyone. The whole film revolves around a lot of sinister people trying to get their hands on the leading man's super sperm. Everyone wants that sperm. You just don't get films like that. It was about seven years ago that I saw this film so I can't remember all of it now. I just remember how incredibly funny and bizarre it was. See it yourself and you'll understand.
I usually keep an eye out for Shannon Tweed movies. She's great looking, with the best bazooka's in the world.
The plot doesn't have to be plausible as long as we see plenty of action! But, this is complete and utter rubbish. The plot will make you laugh. The acting is dire and there's not enough flesh. All I can think is that Shannon was offered a lot of money to do this. Reading the plot and seeing the end result must have made her cringe.
It could have been so much better. The girls are great looking and a good opportunity to make a decent skin flick missed.

You have never seen a film like this. From the opening titles you know this is going to be something special - they ooze class. The casting is perfect, the dialogue crisp and the action sequences are breathtaking. Much maligned by the intelligensia but a true example of cinema at its most deeply affecting. The athletic performance by the leading man makes this film a must see.
I think all of us will be able to relate to the exploration of taboo themes - in any other director's hands this could have been sleazy and exploitative. It is pitched so well it is a credit to cinema's power to provoke and stimulate thought.

My housemate and I watched this movie out of sheer lack of anything better to do one day - oh how glad we are that we did! This is quite possibly the funniest film in the "unintentionally so" category. Complete with mid-air cat fights, bizarre "torture" scenes and actors who skillfully skate past the whole incest issue, this film is a must for an evening in with a bunch of friends. Crank your willing suspension of disbelief to the maximum setting and enjoy!
