Trivia
While Demi Moore and the rest of the main cast endured a mini-boot camp in Florida, Viggo Mortensen prepared for the role on his own for several months. He observed the actual training in Naval Base Coronado and talked to many active and retired Navy S.E.A.L.s. Some of the other cast members, with the exception of Moore, were angry that Mortensen didn't go through what the others had to go through. That's what Mortensen wanted.

Goofs
Troops on patrol would not use their names over the radio. They would all have call-signs, usually numerical as in 5-5-B, to denote who the were so any enemy interception of their signals would not give away personal information. (Pronounced five - five - bravo)

I like it and I don't care.

This movie received lot's of hate and to be honest I can only assume it was due to bad publicity.

It has a great cast who all play their parts well. Demi Moore got a razzie for this which is totally unjustified as she plays her part really well. It has great music and is definitely in the list of good Ridley Scott movies.

I'd put it up with "Jarhead", "Tigerland" or "Heartbreak Ridge" any day of the week.
